The Fiamma Bike-Block Pro S 2 Deep Black (part number 08831A01A) is a bike-securing arm for the Fiamma Carry-Bike rack system. The "2" in its name tells you exactly what it's for: it's the arm that holds the second bike in position on the carrier when running three or four bikes. It attaches to the Carry-Bike rail and features a full 360° rotating clamp at both ends, so you can angle it to suit whatever bike frame you're working with. The aluminium tube has a slight curve to it, which Fiamma deliberately designed to make hooking the bike frame in place faster and easier. It weighs just 0.3kg, so it adds virtually nothing to your carrier load.

Is the Fiamma Bike-Block Pro S 2 compatible with all types of bicycle?


Yes. The clamp on the Bike-Block Pro S 2 fits round and oval bike tubes from 25mm to 100mm in diameter, covering everything from lightweight road bikes to chunkier hybrid and trekking frames. The arm itself fits Fiamma Carry-Bike rails and can also be used on other brands' bike racks with a tube diameter of 28mm to 35mm.

The whole point of the Pro S design over the earlier Bike-Block Pro is the ergonomic rethink. The tightening knob is now at the front of the block rather than tucked away at the side, so you don't have to reach awkwardly around the rack when securing or releasing a bike. The rubber support base is scratch-proof and protects the bike frame from contact marks during transport. There's also an integrated anti-theft safety loop, which lets you thread a cable lock through the block for added security when the vehicle is parked up. The block is finished in an all-black aluminium body with black and red fixing components, so it sits neatly alongside the Deep Black Carry-Bike range.

This block is made in Italy and built to Fiamma's standard for the Carry-Bike range. If you're expanding a two-bike carrier to take a third bike, the Pro S 2 is the correct arm to add. It's worth noting that if you need the arm for the third or fourth bike position, those are separate products (Pro S 3 and Pro S 4 respectively), each with a different reach to suit their position on the rail. The Pro S 2 is also available in an aluminium finish if the all-black Deep Black version doesn't suit your carrier colour.
