  Product Description
The Fiamma Quick Safe is a sliding safety lock strap designed specifically for securing bicycle wheels to Fiamma Carry-Bike reinforced rails. Sold as a single piece, it slots into the base of the rail and slides along to the required position, gripping the wheel firmly without the need for tools or fiddly adjustment. It's constructed to resist corrosion, so years of exposure to road grime, rain, and UV won't cause it to perish the way fabric straps eventually do. Fiamma part number 98656B386. Weight: 100g.

Which Fiamma Carry-Bike rails is the Quick Safe strap compatible with?

The Fiamma Quick Safe strap (part number 98656B386) is compatible with the Rail Plus, Rail Quick Pro, and Rail Quick reinforced rails only. It cannot be fitted to Rail Premium rails, which use a different integrated locking system. It slides into the base channel of the rail and locks the wheel securely in transit, with a one-click release for fast loading and unloading.

If you've picked up a secondhand motorhome or caravan with a Fiamma bike rack already fitted, these are the straps that are most likely to need replacing. The originals that come supplied with Rail Quick Pro rails are identical to this part, so it's a like-for-like swap. The sliding mechanism means you're not restricted to a fixed wheel position on the rail, which is handy when you're mixing different wheel sizes across the rack. People running wider-tyred bikes, including hybrid and mountain bikes, find the Quick Safe works well where older fabric straps struggled to reach.

Fitting takes seconds. Feed it into the channel from the base of the rail, slide it into position around the wheel, and it locks. The quick-release button releases it just as fast. For anyone replacing worn or damaged straps on an existing Fiamma Carry-Bike setup, this is the correct OEM replacement part rather than a generic alternative, and it's available here individually so you're not paying for a full rail kit you don't need.

Quick Safe strap for Fiamma Carry Bike. Sliding safety lock system. Can be installed only on original Carry-Bike reinforced rails. Will not rust and easily fitted via the base of the rail and sliding into the required position. Fiamma Quick Safe is supplied in 1 piece.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Fiamma rails is the Quick Safe strap compatible with?
The Fiamma Quick Safe strap (98656B386) fits the Rail Plus, Rail Quick Pro, and Rail Quick reinforced rails. It is not compatible with Rail Premium rails, which use a different integrated locking mechanism. Always check which rail type is fitted to your Carry-Bike before ordering.
How does the Fiamma Quick Safe strap fit onto the rail?
The Quick Safe slides into the channel at the base of the Carry-Bike reinforced rail. Once in position around the bike wheel, it locks automatically. To remove the bike, press the quick-release button for immediate opening. No tools are required for fitting or removal.
Is the Quick Safe strap the same as the ones supplied with the Rail Quick Pro?
Yes. The Rail Quick Pro is supplied with two standard Quick Safe sliding straps as part of the kit. The replacement strap sold here (part number 98656B386) is the identical OEM component, making it a direct like-for-like replacement for worn or damaged originals.
Will the Quick Safe strap work with wider tyres such as mountain bike or hybrid tyres?
The Quick Safe strap is suitable for most standard wheel diameters and works well with wider-tyred bikes, including mountain bikes and hybrids. Users with fat bikes (tyres wider than approximately 3 inches) should check compatibility with their specific tyre width, as the Rail Premium Fat Bike rail is designed for tyres up to 5 inches.
How many Quick Safe straps do I need per bike?
Each bike requires two Quick Safe straps, one per wheel. This product is sold as a single piece (1 strap). If you are replacing both wheel straps for one bike, you will need to order two units. If replacing straps across a full Carry-Bike setup with two rails, you will need four in total.
Will the Fiamma Quick Safe strap rust or degrade over time?
The Quick Safe strap is constructed from non-rusting materials, making it suitable for year-round outdoor use on motorhome, caravan, and campervan bike racks. Unlike fabric straps, which can perish or stretch with UV exposure and weather, the Quick Safe maintains its locking function over extended periods of use.
