Product Description

This version of the Thule Elite G2 is the short and recommended for caravans and motorhomes with a vertical wall between 50 and 80cm. With a maximum loading weight of 60kg, the Thule Elite G2 Short can carry E-bikes as well. By default, the Elite G2 can carry two bikes and with optional Thule Extension kits taking this to a three bike carrier then onto a four bike carrier. Please see the the bundles for discounts. This bike rack is the perfect way to transport your bikes safely and securely. It attaches easily to the rear wall of your motorhome or caravan, and has a lockable platform to keep your bikes from moving around. The rails on the platform can be adjusted to fit any bike, so you can get the perfect position for transportation.

Featuring a lockable platform ensures that your bikes will not move during transportation for your safety and for other road users. The platform is locked both in open and closed positions for optimum security and require manual locking for safety.

Depending on your bike’s style, wheel base length and frame size you can always find the perfect position for your bike or bikes to travel safely. The adjustable wheel holders can be moved closer to together or further afield to hold your bike with ease, the supplied pump buckles allows you to adjust the tension for a true support! The soft touch bike holders slide left to right to easily align your bikes’ frame, and designed not to mark the frame when clamped.

Thule advise, when loading your bikes, the heaviest must be fixed inwards and the lightest must be fixed outwards for correct balancing and weight distribution.

Do I need a Standard Version or a Short Version?

This is the vertical distance of the two horizontal fixing bars on the back of the van.

This is a short version so the two bars will need to be 50 - 80cm apart (vertically).

This will usually be determined by the position of the windows on the back of the caravan, motorhome or campervan.

Had researched which type of bike rack to purchase for my motorhome on line. Went to the NEC in February expecting to be able to get a good deal there but was unable to match the price offered by Leisure Shop Direct. Bought a Auto Trail motor home that already had the Thule rails fitted. So I had no option than to fit a Thule G2 short cycle rack. Cheapest I could find was from Leisure Shop Direct. When it arrived I was surprised how big and well made it was. Took me around 30 minutes to fit to the van, and it looks great and feels solid. I am writing this review from Spain having traveled here carrying 2 bikes on the carrier and I have no complaints or concerns.

the rack is an excellent design ,however the packaging is poor hence several components were marked . had I not been in such a rush ,I would have asked for a replacement . your delivery service however was very good .

Luckily having a Swift motorhome we had the fixture brackets in place Great to hold our Fiamma 500 storage box or can put the fixtures on for 2 bikes
