The mastic strip worked very well sealing my mushroom roof vent. The hole in campervan roof was cut overlapping ridges on the roof. The mastic strip applied double thickness to mount the vent level worked well. Absolute down pour or rain a few times since fitting.... completely water tight.

Used the 32mm strip to fit my Heki 2 roof light with a 45mm strip along the leading edge where the hinges are. Seems to work well and does not seem to attract the dirt that non setting sealant does. Easy to use so long as you don't fit and re-fit it as it stretches easily.

I had to remove the metal strip and old mastic from my motorhome roof having discovered it was leaking. After cleaning all the surfaces I applied the mastic strip first to the metal and then positioned it over the joint. I soon discovered that the product sticks immediately to each surface so you have to be careful to get it positioned correctly first time. But its fantastic, its pliable, and definitely stuck and sealed the joint.

No problems using this, does the job. Barrier cream would probably help on your hands though.
