Borrowed a set of these to get our motorhome off soft wet grass, ours just slid through so now we have replaced them with the Milenco grip mats. As for durability can't answer that as we have only just bought them.

Not used them yet but I think they would be useful on waterlogged fields when the wheels would sink in overnight. I would drive over one pair and park up. I have purchased a second pair to help me get started.

What is not to like. They work perfectly and as my motorhome has 4 wheels this is my second pair. 4 is logical really when you camp in a large campervan in a damp muddy field. I can rest easy at night knowing I will drive off smoothly whilst all the others with their home made bread crate cheapskate options slide around and end up being towed out by the farmer (who may reasonably expect you to wait until he has milked the cows or fed the sheep!)

Good, strong product to get your motorhome out of the mud and wet grass. I use four now, two on the front for traction and two at the rear to prevent the wheels from sinking, with the option of putting them in-line on the front to give a better chance of getting moving.

Bought some because they seemed a sensible idea. Used them in all seriousness 4 days ago. Had to park on an already wet uphill grass site with rain forecast. I had purchased 2 pairs, being a pessimist, and am glad I did!
Opted to put a mat under all 4 wheels rather than just the front, driven wheels since I had 4.
The rain overnight was horrendous, the talk of the campsite, and the ground was really boggy in the morning. I don't know which was worst - the quagmire I was parked on or the happy, smiling faces of everyone else on hardstandings! All 4 mats were now bowed as the motorhome had depressed the soft ground so that added to my good cheer.
Anyway, offered a short prayer, started up and gave it a go.... Van went forward after a bit of welly on the throttle, the mats shot backward as I hit the ends but we were moving, and we made it to the tarmac with little drama.
Really impressed with them. With a fwd motorhome, facing uphill, I fully expected traction issues even on the mats but no wheelspin at all.
Beats looking around for a spare tractor to pull you out of a bog every time.....
I.e. I really rate these mats for my 3500kg wagon and yes I paid full price for both sets so this is not one of those reviews where you wonder how unbiased the reviewer may or may not be :)

Having had the bad experience with a cheaper set, we read the reviews of these Milencos & initially bought a single set. However, after struggling somewhat to extract the (two-wheel drive) car from a sloping, soggy field (camping on a dry field & then it chucking it down during the night), we invested in a second set. The reason being that it gives a much better go at getting the momentum going because these mats are fairly short (which is why I've given 4 stars and not 5). Theoretically, one set could also be used for under the non-driving wheels if the ground was really soft.
Definitely recommended.

This is actually my second set - I made the mistake of lending my first set to someone who shredded them with a heavy vehicle and a heavy right foot. My first set (and these appear identical in every way) got me and my 3.5Tonne motorhome out of trouble on several occasions. If the surface/weather forecast looks at all dubious, I make a point of parking the driving wheels on these. Much better than the very thin and bendy yellow alternatives.

If the surface/weather forecast looks at all dubious, I make a point of parking the driving wheels on these. Much better than the very thin and bendy yellow alternatives.

They do want want for my 4 tonne motorhome on sticky ground. Give a bit moree reassurance than smaller lighter ones.

I would recommend to others. We used ours recently in muddy conditions with our motor at a rally, they worked great. Excellent quality product.

I've only used these to help a neighbour whose car got stuck in the snow last winter and they certainly did the job then, although I primarily bought them for my motorhome after getting bogged down on a site last autumn.
Having used them in snow I've every confidence they will do the job in soft ground as they are strong and a decent size. I've looked at other makes and these Milenco Grip Mats appear to be far superior and at this price for peace of mind you can't go wrong.
Stow a pair in your boot or locker, one day you'll be glad you did!
