Easy install ,Unfortunately didn't fix my problem ,it was the power board ,had to try the cheaper part first ;-( ,Super quick freight ,reasonable costs .

I give the product an average rating as it was installed and working but has not had a long enough test. This is the second spark electrode in the last few months. The first one failed to send impulse to gas valve thus shutting the gas down after 30 seconds as per the fridge parameters. The installation is easy, but you have to remove the fridge from its housing to get the top off the control box to plug in the new one. If Thetford had put the connector in a more accessible place then things would have been easier. I hope this one lasts as long as the original (11 years).

The spark electrode doubles as a gas safety cut out device by interupting the gas supply in the event of flame failure. There is no gas expertise required in order to replace this component. Unit arrived promptly and was fitted in around fifteen minutes.
