Thetford boasts that anywhere between 205V and 250V, a good and consistent refrigerator performance is guaranteed.
With each size of fridge, you can choose whether to pick the appliance with an LCD screen (indicated by the A at the end of the product code) Or you can choose to purchase the LED screen, (indicated by the E+ at the end of the product code) The huge difference between the N3000 range and the N4000 range, is that the N4000 range is fully automatic in the it's power selection, no matter which screen type you choose.
Patented smart electronics make the Thetford N4000 series future proof! Thetford have developed smart electronics; by employing their PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) method, your refrigerator will be more energy-efficient, and if the energy supply is interrupted, the fridge will cool down faster once reconnected. A more stable, self-regulating energy supply is secured as all models come with the automatic power source facility. This means you can relax while the refrigerator automatically selects the best power source available. As the caravanning and motorhome industry is becoming digital, all N4000 models are CI-BUS ready. This means that you have the option to connect the refrigerator to the central display of your vehicle with the CI-BUS connector cable, which will transmit all relevant data straight to your master display. Once connected, you can control the refrigerator from the central control panel, accessing relevant options like ‘mode on/off’, ‘energy source’, ‘temperature setting’ and access any ‘error codes’ that may occur.

When installing your Thetford Fridge, you have the flexibility to connect or shut off the 12V option as an energy source. If you wish, you can completely remove access to the 12V DC power supply of your vehicle. This gives the flexibility to create a 3-way or a 2-way model, depending on your individual needs. Thetford N4000 absorption refrigerators are different from the refrigerator you may have at home. A heat source, generated by a gas burner or by electrical heating, drives the cooling system.
