The PLB 40 is designed in a robust and durable shell to satisfy outdoor and mobile lifestyles with high electrical demands, The Dometic PLB40 is the lightest and most powerful lithium battery in its category. It allows adventurers to travel further and stay longer in nature with a safe and reliable power supply.

Dometic's decision to use Lithium Iron Phosphate (known as LiFePo4) makes the battery unit lightweight, compact, and able to deliver stable power for a longer time compared to the Lithium Ion batteries currently available on the market.

Specifically designed to power a cooler, such as a Dometic CFX for a weekend, 12V devices, and USB accessories, the battery has a 2-pin threaded connection and flat discharge curve. Its robust and rugged features make it ideal for outdoor use.

Another innovation of the PLB40 is its multiple power sources: 12 V vehicle socket, solar panel or AC power. This allows users to charge the battery while driving– saving time and the need for an extra battery.

The power of the Dometic PLB40 is supplied by integrated Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells. Engineered for use in harsh outdoor environments, its rugged design will keep your gear charged and ready even on the harshest expeditions. Lightweight, with ergonomically designed stainless steel handle, the PLB40 is easy to carry, while an integrated DC-DC charger offers three convenient ways to charge via: the vehicle 12 V socket, solar panel or AC power. The user-friendly, integrated LCD display provides important information on performance including: the battery capacity, charging/discharging status and output status.

TOUGH DESIGN MARKED WITH IP44 RATING
Popular Dometic products like the CFX3 35 and 75DZ compressor cool boxes and the PLB 40 battery pack are marked with an IP44 rating. IP stands for Ingress Protection, which considers the extent to which a product is protected against penetration by solid and liquid particles. An IP44 rating verifies that the product has been tested and proven to have effective protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm, such as tools and small wires, as well as against splash water from any angle. In other words, your Dometic CFX3 compressor cool box and the PLB 40 portable power pack are splash-proof and therefore fit for the rigours of outdoor use.

This market-leading battery system is the utilising cutting-edge technology which is a result of years of research and development. The Dometic PLB40 has powerful, integrated Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells, providing an energy supply of 512 Wh. Ideal for powering portable coolboxes and other 12 V appliances while on adventures, the PLB40 provides up to 53 hours of cooling time for a Dometic CFX3 45 on a single charge. The integrated DC-DC charger offers three convenient ways to charge via: the vehicle 12 V socket, solar panel or AC power. The battery’s integrated battery management system protects the PLB40 from under-voltage, over-voltage, short circuiting and overheating for optimum charge time, performance and storage. With this power management system, the Dometic PLB40 has a life cycle which is up to five times longer than more commonly used lead-acid batteries.
