  Product Description
The PowerPart 20 Amp Dual Stage Charger MPU1 is a complete 12-volt power supply unit that combines a mains transformer with intelligent three-stage battery charging technology. This BCA-manufactured unit provides 13.8V DC at 20 amps to power your caravan or motorhome's lighting, water pump, TV and other 12V appliances directly from a 230V mains supply. The integrated 6-amp smart charger automatically manages your leisure battery through boost, equalisation and float phases to maintain optimal battery condition without overcharging.

Fitted as standard equipment in Bailey Approach, Bailey Autograph, Coachman Pastiche, Coachman VIP, Coachman Laser (all up to 2015), Elddis Encore and Equi-Trek Evolution models, this unit offers plug-and-play compatibility with BCA power distribution units. The charger features automatic fan operation that switches off during low loads for silent night-time operation, making it ideal for overnight stays. Installation involves two DC output connections and a kettle-type mains lead, with comprehensive fitting instructions included for competent persons to install.

Operating across European voltage ranges from 190V to 264V AC at 50Hz, the PS276-1-BC model measures 125mm x 230mm x 70mm and weighs 1.4kg. The unit works with lead-acid and AGM batteries but requires batteries with built-in charge management for lithium-ion systems. While this charger offers reliable performance and has been used by major manufacturers for years, the fan operation means it's not completely silent under higher loads above 5-8 amps.
