Truma LevelCheck shows how much gas is left in the cylinder

The practical LevelCheck uses LEDs for quick and reliable indication of whether there is liquid gas in the measured area. The measuring device is simply placed against the gas cylinder in a horizontal position.

It's always very annoying if the gas runs out during the night or when you have invited friends round for a BBQ. Truma has the right solution! The Truma LevelCheck. The device shows how much gas is left in the LPG cylinder and is child's play to use.

The device is held horizontally against the gas cylinder. "It uses ultrasound to detect whether there is any liquid gas in the cylinder at the point where the measurement is being taken", explains Frank Ibach, Project Manager at Truma. The status LED turns green if there is gas at the measuring point and red if there is no gas. “This lets you find out how full the gas cylinder is quickly and easily. The ultrasonic measurement makes it very precise and reliable”, says Ibach. The LED flashes orange whilst the device is determining the filling level; a beep indicates the beginning and end of the measurement.

The Truma LevelCheck is suitable for all propane, butane, steel or aluminium LPG gas cylinders with a diameter of 7.9 to 13.8 in (200 to 350 mm). This makes it a great help when camping or grilling over gas. The practical LED torch that is integrated in the device offers extra added value. The LevelCheck has already won several awards in the caravanning sector as test winner and "best accessory".

Works on 3.9kg, 4.5kg, 6kg, 7kg, 13kg, 15kg, 19kg, 47kg and some other cylinders (but NOT 6 lite cylinders). Not for plastic cylinders, butane or propane cylinders, gas tanks or refillable gas tanks.

Tip

This does exactly what it is designed to do. Yes, there are others ways to achieve the end result of what gas level is left in the bottle, but honestly this is effective and so easy to use. Am so glad I now have this in my caravan toolbox.

The Truma Levelcheck is a great tool, I tested it on 3 differnt size gas bottles (1 was empty), it showed exactly what gas I had in each bottle, the empty one showed empty.

Brilliant Piece Of Kit

This is a brilliant piece of kit. Worked really well. I had 2 cannisters to check; checking each a couple of times to get the accurate level reading. First time, a small residue from the red paint from the cannister attached itself to the Levelchecker so had to clean it each time but no problem. Clearly, a sensitive accurate and reliable piece of kit.

Essential piece of kit if your tank doesn't have a gauge, and it works well if you follow the instructions. Fits in the cutlery drawer, and is nice to use.

I bought this product because my Truma duo switchover light was unreliable. Having been caught out with running out of gas I bought this product to accurately monitor my gas bottle level. It does exactly what it says on the tin, very useful.

Trauma Check

Trauma works very well but it's quite expensive. Save money and use the hot water trick for checking gas levels. However make sure the water is boiling , a full kettle to warm the gas bottle. My experience the reading with the Trauma exactly matches the hot water test. However the Trauma is a neat and an extra bonus of LCD light

Easy to use, accurate, convenient to use product. Better than most of the gas bottle level indicators on the market. Only downside is the cost - very expensive for what it is, however, Leisureshopdirect were the cheapest out there for this product. Glad we purchased this product, so easy to use.
