  Product Description
The Waeco WCC 40 is a 39 litre compressor cool box built for caravan, motorhome, campervan and camping use. It runs from a 12V or 24V DC supply, plugging straight into a vehicle socket, and it chills or freezes food and drink at any temperature you set between +20°C and -18°C. Weighing 13.2kg and measuring 632mm wide, 467mm high and 374mm deep, it fits in a car boot, on a campervan floor or inside an awning. Drop-down carry handles on both sides fold flat once you arrive, keeping the footprint tidy.

How cold does the Waeco WCC 40 compressor cooler get?


The WCC 40 cools or freezes anywhere between +20°C and -18°C, set on its digital display. Its 39 litre interior holds a family's chilled food for a weekend away, and the 46W compressor draws power from a 12V or 24V socket in cars, campervans, motorhomes, trucks and boats.

Compressor cooling sets this model apart from thermoelectric cool boxes, which only drop the temperature a fixed amount below the outside air. The WCC 40 holds your chosen temperature whatever the weather, freezing food solid at -18°C in the middle of a heatwave. Three-stage battery protection monitors the supply voltage and switches the compressor off before your vehicle battery drains too far, so you leave it plugged in overnight with confidence. For campsite hook-ups or home use, the optional WAECO WPS 90 mains adapter (sold separately) converts mains power to a supply the cooler accepts.

Caravanners use the WCC 40 as overflow cold storage in the awning, campervan owners run it as a main fridge freezer, and day trippers load it for the beach, festivals or a day's fishing. Rugged corner protection with integrated feet handles rough pitches and repeated loading, while the removable lid gives full access and makes cleaning simple. An intuitive latch opens with one hand when your arms are full, a USB-C port charges your phone, and a daisy chain loop keeps accessories tethered. Sold under part number 9630001971, this model uses R600a refrigerant and draws 46W, keeping demands on your leisure battery low.
