The Vango Aether Air 450XL is an inflatable AirBeam tent in the fabulous Vango Earth Collection. The most important feature to tell you about with all the Vango Earth tents is that they are made from recycled single use plastics, like plastic bottles and straws. You can definitely feel like you are doing your bit for the environment whilst still having family fun. The new Vango Aether Air 450XL, 4-man tent is an inflatable AirBeam® tent within our new Earth Collection. The new collection launches our Sentinel Eco Fabric, made from recycled single use waste plastic. Not only does the Aether reduce plastic waste from the environment but benefits key features, such as Villa Construction for greater head height and internal space, allowing you to use the space right up against the tent walls. Another feature is the Pre-Attached Extension, offering extra living space and a real outdoors feel, as well as a double living area and large front door, which can be fully rolled back to enjoy the good weather, or zipped up when more shelter is required. Fresh air flow is also a key feature as both the living room doors have mesh panels which increases the airflow, whilst keeping the bugs out. The Aether also features our AirBeam® technology, ensuring quick inflation and a sturdy and reliable structure and benefits from clear access, king sized, bedrooms, designed with a wider entrance, with no step over into the bedroom and the Nightfall bedrooms reduce early morning light.

The Pre-Attached Extension offers extra living space and a real outdoors feel. Alongside the double living area you will have plenty of space to relax and spend time with family and friends. A large front door can be fully rolled back to enjoy the good weather or zipped up when more shelter is required. Fresh airflow is a key feature in reducing condensation so low level AirZone vents and mesh panels on both the living room doors keep air circulating while keeping the bugs out. The Aether features our AirBeam® technology ensuring quick inflation and a sturdy and reliable structure. It also benefits from Nightfall, queen size, bedrooms to reduce early morning light for a longer sleep.

70D Sentinel Eco Fabric- Vango have focused developing their fabric with the environment in mind and have taken single use plastic waste and transformed it into their all new Sentinel Eco Fabric (more detail on how they have done this below).
Mesh living room doors Both the living room doors on all the Vango Earth tents have integrated mesh panels that increase the flow of air within the tent, whilst keeping all the biting bugs out!
Nightfall bedrooms The bedrooms are made from a thick weave material, which helps to reduce early morning light.
Villa Construction The upright side walls of the Vango Earth tents, increase the height within the tent, enabling happy campers to fully maximise the internal space.
TBSII Tension Band System A three-point band system braces the Vango AirBeam structure to ensure these tents perform in adverse conditions, especially in strong changeable winds.

Let's have a look at the Sentinal Eco fabric of the Vango Aether Earth 450XL tent........ it has a waterproof rating of 3000MM HH and can also be easily cleaned with a simple wipe down. In the tent world, 1000MM is the lowest level considered to be waterproof, using a hydrostatic head test, so the Vango Aether will definitely keep you dry in unpredictable weather. Allowing campers to be assured this tent will perform in harsh conditions , it's seams are fully factory taped and the material is 70D (a very high-density weave) recycled polyester, which is highly watertight, dependable and hardy, whilst being low weight, making it easier to move your Vango Aether from home storage to your vehicle and from your vehicle to your chosen pitch. It really is a durable material, with strong weather resistant qualities, meaning you can can explore the countryside whatever the weather! This exclusive Vango Sentinel Eco material is fire retardant, meeting the ISO5912 standards (these are stringent international standards, which specify requirements on safety, including fire, performance, rain resistance and fitness for use). It has a UPF (an ultraviolet protection factor, which is a rating system for clothing and fabrics that protect you from the sun) of 30+, so you can be sure your little ones will be sheltered from the sun. Vango have also incorporated their ColourLok technology we have seen in their recent tent and awning fabrics, into this Sentinel Eco material, which aids colour retention from UV light, so other campers on site with be envious of your style for years to come!

The Vango Aether 450XL, along with all the other tents in thier Earth collection, have Nightfall Bedrooms, which basically means the sleeping compartments are made from a tightly woven yarn fabric that helps reduce early morning light coming through into the sleeping quaters. If you are camping with young children, this feature is key if you don't want the little ones starting their day (and therefore everyones else's who is in your camping entourage) when the first ray of light shines upon your tent. Surely there is nothing worse than the whole family being awake from the crack of dawn and then being irretable and exhausted by lunch time?! Also, they all have Clear Access Bedrooms, with a wider opening and no step over into the bedroom area. Much easier access and no trip hazard in the dark or when you have had one too many! There is a toggled inner divider in the bedroom section, that allows you to either split the bedroom area into two for more seclusion or remove it totally to establish an epic master bedroom. Both living room doors on all the designs of the Vango Earth Collection have integrated mesh panels, increasing the airflow within the tents, whilst keeping out the unwanted bugs! They also boast the Vango AirZone feature, which comprises of high- and low-level ventilation panels, that not only create a comfortable air flow through the tent, but these also help to reduce inside condensation.

Vango have managed to create a very delightful, bright and airy atmosphere inside the Vango Aether 450XL and this has a lot to do with their Diamond Clear Windows...... they really maximise light and visibility and give you a great view of the children playing around you on the campsite. All the Earth tents have living room areas, capable of having seating and table areas, so it’s great to be able to sit back and relax inside your tent and watch campsite life pass you by! Also, it’s important to let the children have their freedom, whilst being able to keep an eye on them.

Another very worthy quality of these Vango AirBeam Earth tents is they have the Vango TBSII, Tension Band System. This support bracing system ensures the tent performs in challenging, unpredictable weather conditions, especially in strong changeable winds. When tensioned, the bands brace the AirBeam at three points and really reduces any sideways movement. In the Vango Aether Air 450XL tent, you won’t need to let a day or two of adverse conditions, lash your camping adventure short. Vango tents possess the AirSpeed Valve system, enabling you to not only inflate, but deflate your tent effortlessly in minutes due to the unique and conveniently positioned valve. It is an easy to attach valve and is located higher on the tent, making it easier to attach the pump and it is way more accessible. You won't get an achy back when pumping up your Aether 450XL!

The Vango Aether Air tent, like all the tents in the AirBeam Earth collection boast an aspect called Villa Construction, which involves upright side walls. These very cleverly increase the height within the tent, even at the sides, allowing campers to fully maximise the internal space. There is no lost space as you can so commenly get with lower angled tents. A flexible door step can easily be dropped to ground level allowing you to enter your tent without needing to step over the entrance…………a valuable feature when you have had one too many or you have a clumsy camper in your group!

As with all Vango AirBeams, these Earth Collection tents are supplied with a double action pump, which allows campers to effortlessly pitch their tent. The strong sewn-in ground sheet, creates a bug and draught free environment for living and sleeping. This ground sheet is attached to the flysheet with an external storm skirt in all three of the Earth AirBeam tents, to provide all round protection. What more could a happy camper wish for!
