Can I replace the window stays on the large front window of an Avondale Argente with non-ratchet stays ie similar to side window stays? (to aid window closure & retention in grove!) Thanks

Answer

Yes this is possible. I am unsure whether the screw clamp to hold the window open will be strong enough to avoid the window closing gradually.
