Question

Dear Tom , I was working in my 04 Elddis Odyssey 2 weeks ago with heating on . When I had finished I switched off the Ultraheat system at the Thermostatic control (beige) on/off switch , the green indicator light went off . Next day I went into the van to find it nice and cosy , I found the only way to turn off the heat was to switch off the fused switch under the flap in the wardrobe . I also noticed another day although switch was set at 2000w not much heat was amassing , as if set at 850w . Do you think this will be the Thermostatic Control Switch ( old type beige ) or the PCB or heaven forbid both ,

Answer

The wall switch needs to be disconnected from the PCB and if it still runs then the PCB is most likely to be at fault.
