Hello Do you ever need to remove the plastic outside cover over the exhaust outlet on a dometic fridge as we are about use the fridge on gas for the first time. Many thanks, M.Burnham. (Mr.)

The winter covers should be removed during warmer weather to ensure that there is adequate ventilation at the rear of the fridge. These covers should be removed whether you are using the fridge on gas or electric. Conversely the covers can be re-fitted during cold or windy weather. You should not remove the cover over the exhaust outlet when using gas as the exhaust fittings are designed to ensure correct operation of the gas burner.
