Hi, I have a 1993 avondale and the cassette loo worked fine till i emptied it last. the knob you turn to shut/ open trap/blade wont turn and waste cannot be let out in to cassette. i have removed and re-inserted cassette several times but this makes no difference. any ideas?

First thing to do is to remove the cassette and manually operate knob on the cassette itself to ensure that the blade will open and close. If this is OK the you will need to check the 'mechanism' that is screwed to the ceiling of the cassette compartment. This is held by four screws plus one in the centre of the flush knob (accessed from inside the caravan)
