I have a cassette toilet in my 1989 talbot autoquest 270 but do not have any power going to it to flush ! the fuse is ok I removed the motor placed it on a battery thats ok , when turn the switch and hold it down the motor does not work ?

It is most likely to be a problem with one of the microswitches that is contained in the 'mechanism' assembly, our part 137147. To remove you need to undo the screw that is in the centre of the twist handle that opens the flap (remove plastic cap). You will need a long crosshead screwdriver. The mechanism is held in place by 4 screws in the roof of the cassette compartment. You will need a small mirror to locate easily. The mechanism will drop down and can be removed by unplugging the electric connection.
