Drain tap, threaded 3/4" BSP. Normally used to drain on-board tanks
(Please be aware that the taps can be stiff on first use)
1 Technical Question on the Drain tap, threaded 3/4" BSP
My motorhome's waste water outlet "beer barrel" tap restricts flow. The waste water pipe is black ridged flexible pipe and the outer diameter of the threaded part of the existing tap is 26mm. Should I go for your part 138084 or 125321 for fastest emptying? If 125321 then which adaptor do I need to connect to the flexible pipe?

I would suggest that you use part 125321 together with adaptor 133363.

This is a replacement, because a rear tyre exploded on my motor-home and smashed its predecessor. It is an excellent tap and very robust in normal circumstances. I have just one criticism; that as it is under the vehicle, it can be difficult to know which way to turn the handle because of the stop. I took a hacksaw and carefully cut the stop off, now it will turn either way from any position. You only need to know if it is across the tap or along it and there is a large tolerance of inaccuracy of positioning before it will leak. Overall a very good item.

Purchased drainvalve because cold weather damaged old one by cracking it. Have patched it up using hose clips though and it should work better than a new one. New they are stiff to operate even when lubricated especially when you have to lie under the van to turn it.
