This Thetford pump for the cassette toilet in my caravan is a perfect replacement for the original which had seized up. Helpful exploded diagrams and instructions on fitting are available on leisureshopdirect website too.

Perfect replacement for our Thetford 250 cassette toilet ,a bit tricky to fit because of location of pump,but got it in and it is working perfectly , it is a genuine Thetford part with clear instructions on installation,overall a very efficient service and prompt delivery from leisure shop direct.

Needing to buy a new part for my daughters van, the first place I thought of was leisure shop direct and although not using these people for sometime now was not disappointed with the service, 1st class shop to browse for parts, great prices and a delivery service that beats most others, if there was to be a small improvement it would be to thetford, please try and make the removal/ replacement method a little easier and also look at the position of the blade fuse at the rear of the toilet compartment, it needs a cover of some description

THETFORD PUMP 50712 FOR C250-CWE CASSETTE TOILET
I had to order a new pump because the old one has died.
It was easy to find out on the website which pump I needed and I was able to order some other parts as well.
I will be fitting the pump in the next couple of weeks but I anticipate no problems as the supplied instructions (also available on the website) are very clear.
The supplied pump is a manufacturers original part and not a cheap copy and was priced lower than I have seen it anywhere else. Delivery was at the time promised.
All in all the entire experience was exactly what I have come to expect from LeisureShopDirect, and I happily recommend them to other caravanners.

A New Pump May Not Be All You Need To Fix This Toilet!

Order arrived promptly, 4 days before anticipated date. No fault of the part supplier, but it seems that the Thetford C250CWE cassette toilet is one of the most unreliable caravan toilets in recent history, according to many online forums - probably why this model was discontinued in 2011. Cracked pumps are a common problem, due to to water being retained in the pump and subsequently freezing, even when pre-winter draining of the flushing tank is done correctly. Thetford acknowledges this issue, and now offers a free additional drain hose kit to owners of the C250 CWE to address this problem. However, this doesn't stop other problems, like failure of the electric flush switch and the waste tank-full indicator light. The tiny connectors in the small PCBs are prone to corrosion in the damp internals of the toilet, as is the fuse-holder, at the back of the waste tank. If you have this model of toilet in your caravan or motorhome, chances are you'll experience some or all of these problems in time. It keeps the parts suppliers in business though!

Original one broke due to frost damage. Got the freebie fix from Thetford and ordered this new pump. Easy fit and worked a dream. Unfortunately let down by courier as I paid extra for 24hr delivery due to going away. Item didn't arrive until 1:30PM day after that.

Pump is OK. Shame that the design of the toilet means water is held in the pump over winter and freezes, breaking it.
