there's only so much that 240 grit wet'n'dry can do to keep the pads smoothed out. I always keep spares in the 'van for replacements as required

On my return from Spain I noticed the caravan was starting to snake a little and I thought it was time to replace the Alko Friction Pads, not so!! all they needed was a clean and fitted a set of shims, no more snaking I am glad to say and I have a new set in my spares box. Thank you Leisurehop !!

I decided to change the AL-ko stabiliser friction pads because my stabiliser had become increasingly noisy in operation.

To whom it may concern
We have a U.K caravan Ace Jubilee ambassador 2004 in the swift group Dunswell Road Cottingham East, Yorkshire.
We need to check our brakes and found that the nut on the stub axle is a one off. It is a 4 stud drum. We have rung Al-Ko Australia and they are unable to help us. They suggest us contacting Al-ko U.K which we sent an email and had no response .
Stub axle no is U24603. The flange nut is al-Al-_ko.05 AF.
Parts required would be 2 axle flange nuts and friction pads for Al-ko 2204 towing coupling.
Are the brake shoes throw away or can I put bonded linings on them?

The flanged nuts are our part 134215 and we have plenty in stock. The friction pads for the AKS2004 are ref. 127537 (sides) and 147857 (front & rear). I can only recommend replacing the brake shoes with genuine Alko shoes, our ref. 127292 and it must be your decision if you have new linings bonded to the shoes. If you wish to order parts please email your full name and address and you may wish to send your credit card details spread over 3 emails for security.

This should be the AKS3004 stabiliser. The spare side pads are our part 127537 and the front/back pads are 127538
