  Product Description
This compact dehumidifier tackles moisture problems in small spaces where damp builds up fast. Caravans, motorhomes, wardrobes, cupboards and storage lockers all benefit from the 180g of moisture-absorbing crystals that pull water straight out of the air. You open it, peel off the protective film and position it where condensation gathers. The crystals work continuously, drawing moisture down into the collection chamber below where it stays trapped. No power needed, no filters to replace, no fuss.

The non-spill design means you can move it around without water sloshing everywhere, which matters when you're shifting things about in a caravan or checking storage areas. The scent-free formula works well for anyone sensitive to fragrances or those who simply don't want competing smells in enclosed spaces. Running for six to eight weeks before needing replacement, it handles typical moisture levels in smaller areas without constant monitoring. When full, the spout allows you to pour away collected water easily rather than causing messes attempting to disassemble the entire unit.

One thing to note is the 180g size limits how much moisture it handles compared to larger dehumidifiers, so it won't cope with serious damp issues or bigger spaces. For confined spots where condensation appears seasonally or during storage periods, it does the job without taking up much room. Works well alongside ventilation rather than replacing it entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the 180g Kontrol mini dehumidifier last in a caravan?
The 180g dehumidifier runs for six to eight weeks in typical caravan conditions. Duration depends on ambient humidity levels, temperature and air circulation. Storage during winter months or in coastal areas with higher moisture content will shorten the lifespan, while drier climates extend it. The crystals gradually dissolve as they absorb water, collecting in the chamber below.
Can you reuse the Kontrol mini dehumidifier once emptied?
No, this is a disposable unit designed for single use. Once the crystals have fully dissolved into liquid, the dehumidifying action stops and the unit needs replacing. The non-spill design and integrated crystal chamber make it impossible to refill with new crystals. Reusable dehumidifiers use different technology with rechargeable silica gel beads.
Where should you position a mini dehumidifier in a motorhome?
Place it in areas where condensation forms regularly: wardrobes, under-bed storage compartments, bathroom cupboards, or near windows. The unit needs a flat, stable surface where it won't tip during travel. Keep it away from direct heat sources like radiators or cookers. Multiple units work better than one in larger motorhomes, as the 180g size handles confined spaces rather than entire living areas.
Does the scent-free formula work differently to fragranced versions?
The moisture absorption performance remains identical between scent-free and fragranced versions. Both use calcium chloride crystals that pull water from the air through the same chemical process. Scent-free versions suit people with fragrance sensitivities, those storing clothing or bedding that might absorb smells, or anyone preferring neutral air in their caravan or motorhome.
What happens if the Kontrol dehumidifier tips over during travel?
The non-spill design prevents collected water from leaking out when the unit tips or moves. A baffle system inside the collection chamber keeps liquid contained even if knocked over. The crystals themselves stay in the upper section separated from the water reservoir. For travel, some users secure the unit with non-slip matting or place it in a cupboard where movement is restricted.
