The step width is 552 mm, which is the usable non-slip stepping area. The total width is 597mm, taking in the step extrusion plus the side mounts and integrated parts. Two built-in tracks run along the board for the dust protection brushes. The profile is made to match EC Standard 74/485/EEG, with rounded corners and no sharp forward-facing edges.

The board is built for straightforward swapping and clearing. If the step loses power or debris jams it, the pins release from the armatures by hand without tools.
