Product Description

The Victron SmartSolar charger gathers energy from your solar panels, and stores it in your batteries. Using the latest, fastest technology, Smart Solar maximises this energy-harvest, driving it intelligently to achieve full charge in the shortest possible time. Smart Solar maintains battery health, extending its life.

By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar (PV) panels, MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available power is rinsed out of your panels, and harvested for storage. The advantage of this is most noticeable when the sky is partially clouded, and light intensity is constantly changing.

Remotely control and monitor the extensive features of your Smart Solar MPPT charger with built-in Bluetooth by pairing it with your smartphone or other device via Victron Connect. If your installation is connected to the internet Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) provides access to the full power of your MPPT, anytime, anywhere; both services are free to use. For remote installations - even when there is no internet connection or phone signal nearby.

Victron's Smart Solar MPPT controllers represent cutting-edge solar charge technology that extracts maximum power from photovoltaic panels through advanced maximum power point tracking algorithms that continuously adapt to changing light conditions. These ultra-fast controllers deliver significant energy harvest improvements - up to 30% compared to older PWM technology and up to 10% over slower MPPT designs - by rapidly adjusting to fluctuating solar irradiance throughout the day, particularly valuable during cloudy conditions where light intensity changes constantly. The sophisticated tracking circuitry samples panel voltage and current multiple times per second, ensuring your solar array operates at its optimal power point regardless of temperature variations, partial shading, or cloud cover that would reduce efficiency in lesser controllers.

Built-in Bluetooth connectivity transforms solar system management by enabling direct communication with the VictronConnect app across Apple, Android, and Windows devices, providing comprehensive configuration control and real-time performance monitoring without additional hardware. Through the intuitive app interface, you can customise charging parameters for different battery types, set load disconnect voltages, program charging schedules, and access detailed historical data including daily energy yield, battery voltage trends, and system fault logs. This wireless connectivity proves particularly valuable for installations in remote locations or difficult-to-access mounting positions where traditional wired monitoring would be impractical or expensive to implement.

The integrated load output provides intelligent battery protection by automatically disconnecting connected circuits when battery voltage drops below configurable thresholds, preventing costly battery damage from over-discharge whilst maintaining charging capability when solar power becomes available. This programmable load disconnect function operates independently of the charging circuit, allowing you to protect sensitive equipment like LED lighting, pumps, or electronics whilst ensuring your batteries receive charging priority during limited solar conditions, though the load output capacity varies by model and requires careful sizing to match your connected equipment's power requirements.

This Smart Solar MPPT Regulator will handle a maximum of 75V and 15A of solar panel output.
