We bought this TV to replace an older model of Avtex TV. It was easy to screw to the visa bracket in our Motorhome. We used the existing screws because they were longer than the new ones. It was easy to tune in. Just took a while to find over 600 TV stations and numerous radio stations. It looks good. Slimline with no edge around it. The picture quality and sound are great as it always is with an Avtex product. It was delivered extremely quickly and was well packaged. A good price too with a discount code.

Bought this to replace a cheaper 16 inch tv which we had been quite happy with till the aerial socket started playing up.
What a difference! The picture is so much sharper and more colourful and the viewing angle is much greater too. The sound has good depth for a small unit and overall it feels really good quality! The stand is really nice and solid with non slip pads which is a good idea for caravan or campervan use.
So far this tv has been worth the extra that Avtex products cost and it feels like it will stand up to the portable use much better.

Nice slim, lightweight design. We have a retractable bracket for the tv in our caravan and it fit perfectly. Easy to set up and much faster tuning than our old one.

Having had two Avtex TVs in my caravan I thought I would save some money and buy a cheaper brand. Big mistake! Picture quality and sound were appalling. I bit the bullet, ditched the cheap set and went for another Avtex. This TV simply oozes quality - the picture is pin sharp and, having lashed out on the sound bar as well, the sound is amazing. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Ordered via “Leisure Shop Direct “Perfect size for my boat, exactly what I require. Disappointing that the 12volt lead was missing from the box as this will be the main power source. The lead was shown as part of the pack in the original specifications!
Still waiting for confirmation that the lead will be sent!. Supplier has contacted Avetex but still waiting.

I didn’t realise only channels 1-5 are hd. Plus cbb’s) Picture in hd is great. Sd is same as any other I suppose. Hard to compare with home tv. Coz that’s all hd. Viewing angle is excellent. Sound probably what you’d expect, good enough but you can add a sound bar. Mine went in a boat and had to put new aerial cable all the way through for it to work!! That could be due to old cable / too many splits over its life?? I just started again and it’s perfect now. Would definitely recommend and I would buy another. Only downside no DVD player. Again I didn’t spot that at the time of purchase but I believe this model is now discontinued. I also bought the 24” pro for bedroom with dvd and that is also quality

I like the Avtex series 9 that you don't have to have a set top box for sat it's allready built in so I can just set the dish up and use the tv not like the last one I had it was Avtex series 4 and it stoped working for some reason.

had a much bigger TV for my old motorhome, but got in the way and was too big.
New motorhome has TV bracket already fitted.
This fits perfectly. Size is great, picture superb from all angles and sound on TV programmes and radio is excellent. Not tried DVD yet.
Glad I paid the extra as I was worried about reviews for other makes that were cheaper.
Delivery, packaging etc all faultless.

Bought this for our motorvan - it’s compact size and light weight makes it ideal for hanging on the wall bracket, and the picture is good from any angle. It does everything we need from freeview HD tv to being able to play dvd This tv has an on/off switch which the previous avtex didnt.(good as there are no switches on the van sockets)

We bought this for our Motorhome, after a lot ! of research. It is a bit pricey but its really worth the money. Picture quality is great with a superior viewing angle, which is important in a confined space. I was really surprised by the sound quality, its a lot richer than I would have thought from small speakers.
The remote is really good, with a 1 touch tuning button, its easy to use and feels well made.
Power usage is minimal.

I have not found anything to dislike about this tv. It does everything easily and efficiently and the picture is crisp and true to colour. For a small tv the sound quality is amazing. Its rich and really doesnt need outside speakers. Worth every penny

"You get what you pay for" so true with this TV. After coming from a Aldi Cheap set to this the difference in picture quality is excellent. The depth of the contrast and colour in HD Freeview is worth every penny. The ability to record one channel whilst watching another works well and is a welcome feature to have in our motorhome a real home from home feature. This also allows us to record entire series to use when we are in a poor signal area or just over the channel. Sound quality as with most small TV is not very good. We personally use it with a AE Boom 2 via 3.mm lead and this makes all the difference. Great Telly worth every penny IMHO..

Very good quality product. Picture quality excellent. All freeview channels scanned in with no problems. Satellite will have to wait until next trip with the camper. I am not expecting any problems. Inbuilt satellite receiver is a tremendous boon. If there is a minus point print in user manual could be a little darker. I found it somewhat difficult to read. But that's me. Another bonus is the four screws supplied for attachment to a mounting bracket. Very thoughtful indeed.

The product details suggested that you could only record, say, satellite while watching terrestrial tv (or a dvd) and vice-versa. However, the TV actually has TWO tuners so you can record one satellite channel while watching a different satellite channel.
Also, instead of using a memory stick (with limited capacity) to record programmes, you can use a portable hard drive.

I was persuaded by various reviews that it would be worthwhile paying a little extra for an Avtex TV and I am ver pleased I did. It is a great little set and I use it on its stand as the walls in my MoHo are not strong enough to support it. I use the box it came in as its traveling box as it fits neatly into one of my cupboards. (The reports of the travelling bags leave a lot to be desired).
The picture quality is far better than my last TV and is a lot better than I expected. the viewing angle is much wider than I had expected and the sound is good for such a small set (16 inch). The DVD reproduction is also very good, just a pity they don't install a Blue Ray played with DVD compatibility.
I would recommend this set and the brand to everyone.

I was a little hesitant going for this TV as it is more expensive than some others on the market. I spoke to a number of people in the club I'm involved in and they all agreed that the extra cost is definitely justified. Having owned it now for a while, I can agree that it is a solid TV and the extra's it offers are great. I am particularly looking forward to not having to manually tune all the channels each time we stop on our ventures around France.

Brilliant TV. Just one comment, when playing a recorded programme if we stop half way through then start play back later it goes back to the beginning. Perhaps we are not operating it properly, perhaps someone can tell us how to operate correctly.

bought this for our motorhome, at first it worked ok then it went off , phoned AC-DC and they put me in touch with Avtex and they talked me through a factory reset , couldn't have been more helpful , now it works great but depends how strong the signal is, not tried the dvd player yet so will have to see, fingers crossed.

We bought this to replace an old TV which had a terrible viewing angle and was a bit bulky. We love this Avtex - lightweight, slim and with a fantastic viewing angle. My partner and I can sit or lie on our L-shaped seating in the caravan and both have a great view with no loss of picture quality which we couldn't do with the old set. We have found it easy to set up and tune (via aerial) on the numerous trips we have made and would highly recommend it. A bit pricey but on balance feel that it was well worth it.

Typical Avtex quality - excellent in all respects. Avtex is synonymous with an outstandingly well made product that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Other cheaper TV's may perform but their reliability may be inferior - our last Avtex TV is still going well but does not have all of the features that the new one does and that is 14 years old......

Not had much chance to use it as yet, first impressions are good, makes a change to buy something good quality these day's, picture exellent, sound good, features good, if I was being very picky, it's a little slow to start up and the dvd drive is a little loud when loading but no problem when dvd playing. Although it's pricey if you add up a cheap tv/dvd plus sat box ,battery meter and signal meter there's not much price difference.

Very pleased with this purchase. Good quality product and perfect for our motorhome. Picture and sound quality good on both Freeview and Freesat. It was easy to set up using the very comprehensive instructions. It is expensive but saves having a separate satellite receiver with its additional cables. Also as it is specifically designed to be robust for mobile use this cost will be worthwhile in the long term.

Excellent TV our replacement for an earlier Avtex, great picture quality with many extra features for us and added facility of plugging in a Flash stick for recording progs. Great item very pleased with our update.

I have always felt that this brand was expensive but I have to say the quality is excellent. This replaced a tv of identical size and performance on which the viewing angle was very poor. This TV also has a satellite tuner in addition to a tvr which enables recordings on a usb flash-drive as well as an on board power supply for an active antennae (also Avtex). The viewing angle on this TV is very good - no more dark contrasty pictures
