  Product Description
This Alde Panel Van Heating Kit centres around the Compact 4000D diesel boiler and includes every component needed for a complete hydronic heating installation in large campervan conversions. Alde has assembled this kit specifically for Ford Transit, VW Crafter, MAN TGE, Mercedes Sprinter and Fiat Ducato builds, taking the guesswork out of sourcing compatible parts. The 4000D operates on 1-6kW diesel power from your vehicle's main tank, 1-3kW mains electric, or both combined for up to 9kW total output. The kit includes the boiler with integrated 10-litre hot water tank, colour touchscreen control panel with fascia, circulation pump, aluminium convectors, all necessary pipes and fittings, flue terminal, expansion tank, and control cables.

The hydronic system works like home central heating, circulating heated glycol fluid through wall-mounted convectors to create silent, even warmth throughout your conversion without cold spots or noise. Hot air rises naturally from the convectors, forming a thermal barrier against cold walls and reducing condensation on windows. The system delivers continuous hot water at up to 4 litres per minute once running, heats the living space in around 10 minutes, and uses minimal 12V power during operation. You get dual-zone temperature control, compatibility with underfloor heating additions, and the ability to run on various diesel fuels including EN590 and HVO100.

This kit suits self-builders tackling large panel van projects who want professional-grade heating without piecing together individual components. The system requires a minimum number of radiators to operate properly, making it unsuitable for smaller van conversions where the output would overwhelm the space. Installation must be completed by someone with gas and heating system competence, as it involves diesel fuel connections, flue installation through the vehicle body, and glycol fluid filling. Once installed, the glycol fluid needs changing every two years with blue fluid or every five years with pink fluid to prevent internal corrosion.

What is this suitable for?
This is designed for those building large van conversions using the Ford Transit, VW Crafter, MAN TGE, Mercedes Sprinter or Fiat Ducato models. It would not be suitable for small panel van conversions, as it requires a minimum amount of radiators to operate, and this minimum amount is too much kW output for a small van.
