View description
The Outdoor Revolution Porchlite Alu-Tech is a poled caravan porch awning for touring caravanners who want a lightweight, single-pole pitch and weatherproof fabric. It uses Tensile Active ripstop all-weather lightweight fabric with a 4,000mm hydrostatic head, and the frame is one aluminium pole. The awning fixes to the caravan's awning rail with 6mm and 4mm twin piping. A rear pad system, with the choice of a pad pole and suction fixings, pulls the back edge snug against the caravan wall, and a draught skirt runs along the base.

The zip-back left and right side doors open both flanks, and the left door has a mesh panel for ventilation. Top rear end corner ventilation keeps air moving. The front door zips up and lifts as a canopy with add-on poles, which offers a shaded overhang on warm days. Tinted PVC windows have toggle-up blinds for privacy and light control.

The kit contains a roof stretcher pole with bracket pad, a draught skirt, a peg set and a carrying bag, and the guying and webbing pegging systems anchor the awning on bumpy ground. It is available in two sizes. The 220 has a 225 x 220cm footprint, weighs 8.5kg and packs to 75 x 25 x 25cm. The 260 has a 240 x 260cm footprint, weighs 9kg and packs to 75 x 26 x 26cm. Pick the 220 for short stops where a lighter pack counts, and the 260 for longer stays where you want more space underfoot.

Which Porchlite Alu-Tech size should I choose, the 220 or the 260?

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Porchlite Alu-Tech awning pitch?
It pitches on a single aluminium pole. The awning fixes to the caravan's awning rail with 6mm and 4mm twin piping, the rear pad system pulls the back edge against the caravan wall, and a roof stretcher pole with bracket pad holds the roof. The guying and webbing pegging systems anchor it to the ground.
Is the Porchlite Alu-Tech waterproof?
The awning is made of Tensile Active ripstop all-weather lightweight fabric with a 4,000mm hydrostatic head. A draught skirt runs along the base of the awning, and the rear pad system holds the back edge against the caravan wall.
Does the front door of the Porchlite Alu-Tech open as a canopy?
Yes. The zip-up front door lifts to form a canopy when you use add-on poles, offering a shaded overhang in front of the awning. The poles are optional and are not part of the provided kit, which has a roof stretcher pole, draught skirt, peg set and carrying bag.
What ventilation and windows does the Porchlite Alu-Tech have?
The left side door has a mesh panel, and top rear end corner ventilation keeps air moving. Both side doors zip back. The tinted PVC windows have toggle-up blinds, which offer you privacy and control over how much light is available in.
What is provided with the Porchlite Alu-Tech awning?
The kit contains a roof stretcher pole with bracket pad, a draught skirt, a peg set and a carrying bag. The guying and webbing pegging systems are part of the awning, so you pitch it with the pegs provided.
What is the difference between the Porchlite Alu-Tech 220 and 260?
The 220 has a 225 x 220cm footprint, weighs 8.5 kg and packs to 75 x 25 x 25cm. The 260 has a 240 x 260cm footprint, weighs 9kg and packs to 75 x 26 x 26cm. Fabric, frame, doors, windows and included items are the same on both sizes.
How does the rear pad system on the Porchlite Alu-Tech work?
The rear pad system pulls the back edge of the awning snug against the caravan wall. It has the choice of a pad pole and suction fixings, so you select how to hold the pad against the side of the caravan.
Does the Porchlite Alu-Tech require an air pump?
No. The Porchlite Alu-Tech is a poled awning with a single aluminium pole as its frame, so there is no inflation step. You pitch it with the pole, the roof stretcher pole with bracket pad, and the pegging and guying systems.
