How does the 2 Cook 2 Dome improve outdoor cooking performance?

The dome creates an enclosed cooking space that traps heat around your food, similar to a conventional oven. The stay-cool handle lets you lift the dome safely during cooking, while the aluminium construction heats up quickly and cleans easily after use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Cadac BBQ models is the 2 Cook 2 Dome compatible with?
The 2 Cook 2 Dome is designed specifically for the Cadac 2 Cook 2 range of BBQs. It has a 25 x 25cm footprint and fits directly onto the cooking surfaces within this range. This dome is not compatible with the original 2 Cook Dome or other Cadac series like the 2 Cook 3 range, which require different sized accessories.
What are the benefits of using a dome lid when cooking outdoors?
A dome lid creates an enclosed oven-like environment that traps heat around your food, improving cooking efficiency and reducing gas consumption. The 2 Cook 2 Dome prevents grease splatter when frying, keeps wind from affecting your cooking temperature, and helps food cook more evenly through better heat circulation. The dual air vents allow you to control airflow and regulate internal temperature for different cooking methods.
How do you clean the Cadac 2 Cook 2 Dome?
The aluminium construction makes cleaning straightforward. Allow the dome to cool completely after cooking, then wipe the interior and exterior with warm soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge. For stubborn residue, soak in warm water before cleaning. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could scratch the aluminium surface. Dry thoroughly before storing to prevent water spots.
What are the dimensions and weight of the 2 Cook 2 Dome?
The dome measures 250mm width x 250mm depth x 90mm height and weighs 0.8kg, making it lightweight for camping and caravanning. The packaged size is slightly larger at 260mm width x 270mm depth x 90mm height to accommodate protective packaging. This compact footprint means it won't take up much storage space in your caravan or motorhome.
How do the air vents work on the 2 Cook 2 Dome?
The dual air vents allow you to control oxygen flow and heat circulation inside the dome. Opening the vents increases airflow, raising the internal temperature and allowing moisture to escape, which is ideal for searing or crisping food. Closing the vents partially or fully reduces airflow, maintaining lower temperatures for gentle cooking or smoking effects. This ventilation system gives you more control over your outdoor cooking results.
