The crimped design removes the weak point where separate hoses attach to regulators - there's no threaded connection to work loose during storage or vibrate apart while travelling. The hand-tighten clamp fits your appliance without needing spanners, and the clip-on mechanism attaches to 27mm valve cylinders like Calor Patio Gas, Flogas and Gaslight bottles without the cross-threading problems that screw-on regulators sometimes cause.
