  Product Description
The myCOOLMAN 43 is a versatile single zone portable fridge/freezer offering generous 43 litres of storage space, perfect for camping, caravanning, motorhome trips and outdoor adventures. This efficient compressor-powered unit operates on convenient 12V/24V DC power and holds up to 60 standard 375ml cans - plenty for extended leisure trips. The impressive temperature range spans from -20°C to +20°C, giving you wonderful flexibility to run it as a fridge or freezer depending on your outdoor needs. At 460mm tall, 648mm long and 401mm wide, it weighs just 16.5kg and features a thoughtfully designed low profile to fit neatly under tonneau covers in dual-cab utes of all types. The handy dimmable dual colour LED lighting switches between welcoming white and warm amber, whilst the smart auto-dim digital display helps conserve power during your off-grid adventures.

The myCOOLMAN 43 has a practical maximum height of 460mm, cleverly engineered to fit underneath standard tonneau covers and hard lids in dual-cab utes. This space-saving low-profile design allows it to sit comfortably in the tray, so you can keep your cover closed and your gear secure during travel. The compact 648mm length and 401mm width dimensions mean it slots beautifully behind the cab whilst leaving plenty of room for your other camping essentials.

The thoughtful three-stage battery monitor protects your vehicle's starter battery from excessive drain by intelligently cutting power at preset voltage levels - giving you peace of mind during extended outdoor trips. You'll appreciate the convenient dual DC power inputs at each end of the fridge, paired with a clever multidirectional lid that swaps between left- and right-opening in just 30 seconds without any tools needed. The user-friendly Bluetooth app functionality connects seamlessly to the myCOOLMAN Recreational APP, letting you easily adjust temperature settings, switch between standard and turbo cooling modes, and monitor power consumption right from your phone while you relax at camp. The sturdy tie-down rated carry handles serve double duty as secure mounting points during travel, whilst integrated stainless steel bottle openers at both ends add welcome practical convenience for enjoying refreshments.

The reliable compressor technology maintains consistent temperatures using quality thick PU foam insulation, drawing an efficient average of just 0.96Ah at 32°C ambient when cooling to a refreshing 5°C. Turbo mode accelerates cooling times when you need to chill drinks quickly or freeze items rapidly - ideal for those warm adventure days, though it does use slightly more power. The magnetic Powerpack-compatible design lets you add external battery packs for extended off-grid use, perfect for remote camping locations. Some simple assembly is required when fitting the handles, but the lightweight polypropylene construction and robust build quality make this a dependable companion for regular outdoor adventures.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the myCOOLMAN 43 work as both a fridge and a freezer?
The myCOOLMAN 43 offers wonderful versatility as either a fridge or freezer depending on your temperature setting. The impressive adjustable range spans from -20°C for freezing to +20°C for refrigeration, giving you complete flexibility to store frozen goods or keep drinks and fresh food perfectly chilled during your outdoor adventures.
Will the myCOOLMAN 43 fit in my dual cab ute under the tonneau cover?
The myCOOLMAN 43 has been thoughtfully designed with a maximum height of just 460mm specifically to fit neatly under standard tonneau covers and hard lids in dual-cab utes. The compact dimensions of 648mm length and 401mm width allow it to sit comfortably behind the cab whilst leaving plenty of room for your other camping gear in the tray.
How does the three-stage battery monitor protect my vehicle battery?
The clever integrated battery monitor automatically cuts power to the fridge when your vehicle battery voltage drops to preset levels, ensuring you'll always have enough power to start your engine. You can select Low, Medium or High protection settings depending on your battery type and usage preferences. The Medium setting offers an excellent balance between fridge runtime and battery longevity for most outdoor enthusiasts.
Can I change which direction the lid opens on the myCOOLMAN 43?
The versatile multidirectional lid can be easily swapped to open from either the left or right side in approximately 30 seconds without requiring any tools. This handy flexibility allows you to adapt the fridge to different installation positions in your vehicle or campsite setup with ease. The convenient dual DC power inputs at each end complement this feature beautifully by letting you connect power from either side.
What is turbo mode and when should I use it?
Turbo mode boosts the compressor output to cool or freeze your contents faster than standard mode. Use this helpful feature when you need to rapidly chill warm drinks, freeze fresh food quickly, or when enjoying outdoor adventures in particularly hot ambient temperatures. While it consumes slightly more power, simply switch back to standard mode once your target temperature is reached to maximise battery life during your camping trips.
How do I control and monitor the myCOOLMAN 43?
The easy-to-read digital display on the fridge allows you to set temperature, adjust battery protection levels, activate turbo mode, and control the internal lighting and convenient auto-dimming function. The user-friendly myCOOLMAN Recreational APP provides seamless Bluetooth connectivity for full remote control via your smartphone, showing all display information plus helpful additional monitoring of power consumption and operational status.
How do I secure the myCOOLMAN 43 during travel?
The sturdy carry handles are rated for tie-down use and serve as secure anchor points to keep the fridge safely in place during your travels. Simply use appropriate tie-down straps or ratchet straps through the handle assemblies at each end to fix the fridge firmly in your ute tray, caravan, or motorhome for peace of mind on the road.
Does the myCOOLMAN 43 run on mains power?
The myCOOLMAN 43 operates on convenient 12V/24V DC power as standard, perfect for your outdoor adventures. To run it from 240V mains power at home or on a powered campsite, you can purchase an AC adaptor separately for added versatility. The adaptor converts household AC power to DC, allowing you to use the fridge indoors or when connected to mains hookup for pre-cooling before your trips.
How do I prevent odours and keep the fridge clean?
Simply remove the storage baskets and wipe the interior with a damp cloth after each outdoor adventure to keep it fresh. For stubborn odours, a dedicated fridge cleaner works wonderfully. The most helpful maintenance step is to prop the lid slightly open when storing the fridge between trips, allowing healthy air circulation to keep everything fresh and ready for your next camping excursion.
What warranty coverage does the myCOOLMAN 43 include?
The myCOOLMAN 43 comes with an excellent full 3 year warranty covering manufacturing defects and component failures. This comprehensive warranty provides wonderful peace of mind for regular outdoor use and demonstrates the manufacturer's confidence in the quality build and reliability of the recreational range.
Why is the myCOOLMAN 43 lighter than other portable fridges?
At just 16.5kg, the myCOOLMAN 43 has been cleverly engineered to minimise weight whilst maintaining quality thick PU foam insulation and robust construction. The lightweight polypropylene cabinet and efficient component design reduce overall weight without compromising excellent cooling performance or durability, making it wonderfully easy to lift and reposition during your outdoor adventures.
