The Outwell Fallcrest Side Panel Set transforms a basic awning setup into a proper sheltered space in minutes. These panels attach to wind-out or roll-out awnings on campervans and motorhomes, using robust Outwell zips that hold firm even when the weather turns. The clever design lets you angle each panel to suit your pitch, creating shade during the day and privacy when you need it. Both panels roll up independently with toggle fastenings, so you can adjust ventilation without dismantling anything. The rear panel sits shorter than the front, which means you can keep your sliding door fully accessible while the panels are up. At 1.1kg total weight with a 45 x 32 x 5cm pack size, they fit easily in a VW California tailgate or any compact storage area.

Built from Outtex 4000 Select polyester with a 4000mm hydrostatic head, these panels handle proper British downpours without leaking. The fabric offers UPF 30+ protection and uses PFAS-free water repellency, meeting Outwell's Caring Choice environmental standards. They attach at heights between 175-200cm, which covers most awning configurations you'll find on Transporter conversions, Ducatos, and similar vehicles. The panels work as a standalone windbreak too if you've got upright poles (sold separately), making them useful for beach trips or festival camping where you need quick shelter. Ground pegging points and guylines provide stability when conditions get breezy.

One thing to note is that you'll need to make sure your awning has compatible zip attachments before ordering. Most modern wind-out awnings from Fiamma, Thule and Omnistor work fine, but older models or budget awnings might not have the right connectors. The set includes pegs and a repair kit in the carry bag. For campervan owners who wild camp or use aires, these panels add genuine privacy without the bulk of a full drive-away awning.
