The Olpro Abberley XL is a 4 man poled tent for families and groups of up to four who sleep together in one bedroom and want a proper living room in front of it. The detachable darkened inner sleeps up to four together, and the living space holds the table, the chairs and the kit, so on a wet afternoon nobody ends up sitting on their sleeping bag.

Lightweight fibreglass poles put it up in around 20 minutes, and at 12.3kg it is a tent one person realistically manages. Three windows keep it light, two of them on the front, so on colder days you keep the doors shut and still have the view. Ventilation points keep the air moving, fly screens on both doors stop insects getting in, and the side door pitches out as a canopy on the canopy poles in the bag.

The flysheet is OLTECH® REPRO 210T RPS, which Olpro makes mostly from recycled plastic bottles, 8 of them in each square metre, with a 5,000mm hydrostatic head over a fully sewn-in groundsheet. The tent covers a 460 x 270cm footprint with a 170cm peak and packs down to 70 x 26 x 26cm. Hydrostatic Head (mm)5000The hydrostatic head of a fabric indicates how well it can keep water out and how waterproof it is. The higher the number, the better!
