View description
The Outwell Sacramento 7 Air is a 7 man tunnel tent for bigger families who want versatile sleeping, a dedicated living area and a built in awning all in one pitch. The three-zone layout splits into a wet zone for muddy boots and coats, a living area for the group and an XL bedroom layout with three rooms and patented Quick and Quiet magnetic inner doors for silent access after dark. At 34kg in a 100 x 50 x 50cm bag, it is a two-person carry made for longer stays.

The Outtex HD CoolTech flysheet is a 150D solution-dyed fabric rated at 4,000mm. It reflects heat from the sun, cutting interior temperatures by up to 15°C, and the solution-dyed finish takes its colour. A light, warm-toned flysheet roof lets natural light in overhead, and large mesh windows with curtains in the third zone wall bring light into the living space. Dark Premier Bedrooms with mesh ventilation offer a quiet, dim sleeping setting.

The Rigid Air System inflates the pre-shaped air tubes for a fast pitch with good headroom. Inflate and deflate valves sit outdoors the flysheet for easy access, and the PVC-free DuraAir tubes run at up to 9 psi (0.6 bar). Aluminium 16mm poles support the frame, and a sewn-in double-coated waterproof groundsheet seals the floor. Outwell's Pack Small, Live Large design uses one fewer air tube to cut packed size and weight, freeing room for a bigger window and a larger side door. The tent is OLS-Ready, and Outwell covers it with a two-year guarantee.

For six people, the Sacramento 6 Air uses the same three-zone Rigid Air System and HD CoolTech flysheet at 30.7kg in a 100 x 40 x 50cm bag. The Sacramento 7 Air is for families of seven who require the XL bedroom layout and are happy with the additional 3.3kg for a wider sleeping arrangement.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many rooms does the Sacramento 7 Air have?
Six rooms: three bedrooms, one living area and an integrated awning, arranged in a three-zone tunnel layout. The XL bedroom zone holds the three sleeping rooms, and patented Quick and Quiet magnetic inner doors give silent access.
How do you pitch the Sacramento 7 Air?
The Rigid Air System inflates the pre-shaped air tubes through valves outside the flysheet, running at up to 9 psi (0.6 bar). Aluminium 16mm poles support the frame, and the flysheet pitches first or as one with the inners.
Is the Sacramento 7 Air waterproof?
The Outtex HD CoolTech polyester flysheet has a 4,000mm hydrostatic head. The groundsheet is double-coated waterproof polyethylene sewn in to the tent, and the inner tent floors are PU coated Taffeta polyester.
Should I choose the Sacramento 7 Air or the Sacramento 6 Air?
The Sacramento 7 Air sleeps seven in an XL bedroom layout at 34kg. The Sacramento 6 Air sleeps six at 30.7kg in a 100 x 40 x 50cm bag. Both share the Rigid Air System, HD CoolTech flysheet and three-zone layout. Pick the 7 for a wider sleeping arrangement and the 6 for a lighter carry.
What are Quick and Quiet doors?
Quick and Quiet is Outwell's patented magnetic strip closure for bedroom doors. A magnetic strip closes silently behind you, backed by a zipper for a full seal. It lets people move in and out of bedrooms without waking others.
What is the Pack Small Live Large design?
Outwell's design removes one air tube from the frame, reducing packed size and weight. The space freed up goes into a larger window and a larger side door, giving more light and easier access without increasing the bag size.
Does the Sacramento 7 Air take the Outwell Light System?
Yes, it is OLS-Ready. The connection points for the Outwell Light System are built in. The system is sold separately.
What warranty does the Sacramento 7 Air have?
Outwell provides a two-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. Their products go through in-house and in-the-field testing before reaching the market.

Hydrostatic Head (mm)4000The hydrostatic head of a fabric indicates how well it can keep water out and how waterproof it is. The higher the number, the better! A tent needs to have at least 1000mm HH for light showers, heavy rain and driving wind will put more pressure on the fabric and would therefore require a higher HH of 2000mm. Anything higher than this figure means it can keep out water being pushed through by someone leaning against it for example.
MaterialPolyesterMost tents are made from different denier polyester, which is a lightweight, very waterproof material. Polycotton is a heavier fabric, that breathes well allowing campers to stay cooler in sunnier climates. It is also very good at reducting condensation inside the tent.
Number of Bedrooms3This is the number of sectioned off bedrooms that are included in this tent. The standard industry allowance is 60cm per person, though larger or premium tents often provide more space.
Persons7Tent berth indicates how many people your tent can accommodate for sleeping. The industry standard allocates about 60cm of width per occupant, though exact dimensions can vary by manufacturer. If you prefer extra elbow room, you may want a tent berth larger than your headcount. Many campers size up by one or two berths to improve comfort on longer trips.
Pole constructionInflatable Air TubesThis is whether the poles are inflatable (air) or rigid (e.g - fibreglass / steel or aluminium).
Porch AreaYesA porch area gives campers a lot of extra room, that can be used as a wet zone (drying off before entering the main living space), storage of all your outside gear overnight, or as a place to cook and dine or a great area for your family dog to sleep. It adds a lot of versatility to your camping lifestyle.
Weight (kg)34This is the weight of the tent in kg.
