The Outwell Charleston 7 Air TC is a 7 man air tent for bigger families who require three individual bedrooms, a shared living space and a built-in awning at the site. TC stands for Technical Cotton, Outwell's name for their polycotton fabric, a mix of 65% polyester and 35% cotton in the Outtex AirTech weave. It breathes better than plain polyester in warm weather and lowers condensation within the tent.

The tent pitches flysheet first or as one using the Power Air System. PVC-free DuraAir air tubes are pre-shaped for headroom and interior room, and the inflate and deflate valves sit outdoors the flysheet for easy access. Steel 19mm poles add structural support, the groundsheet is double-coated waterproof polyethylene and stitched in, and the maximum tube pressure is 9 psi (0.6 bar).

Inside, three Dark 230cm Ambassador Master Bedrooms have mesh ventilation for sleep comfort, and mesh pockets in the inner tents keep smaller items to hand. The Dual Front Option lets you set the tent up as a three-zone layout or with an open front canopy. The front wall has mesh and PVC windows with individual curtains for independent control of light, privacy and airflow, and a toggle-up front door opens the full panorama view. An extra side door with a mesh panel offers flexible access on warmer days. The built in Outwell Light System provides lighting within the tent, powered by a USB-C source (minimum 10W, not supplied).

The Alabama 6 Air TC is the next model down in Outwell's TC air collection, sleeping six across three bedrooms and a living space at 43.9kg. It shares the same Outtex AirTech fabric, Power Air System and Outwell Light System but drops the built-in awning. A family of 6 happy to go without the awning saves weight, while the Charleston 7 offers a family of seven the additional sleeping place and covered awning room for longer stays.
