View DetailsThe Outwell Sundale 7PA seven-person air tent brings a whole new level of convenience to your group camping experience. Sleeping up to seven people, it features a three-zone design, offering both comfort and practicality.
At the front of the tent is a large porch area with a Panorama outlook, providing stunning views of your surroundings. Behind that is the main living space: a large area with a sewn-in groundsheet on the floor and mesh windows for privacy and sun protection. At the rear is the bedroom with sleeping compartments.
Outwell equips the Sundale 7PA with many of its iconic features, including its Quick and Quiet door closure system on inner doors. Instead of opening and closing bedroom compartments using a zipper, this system relies on magnets instead, eliminating both noise and wear and tear.
The Sundale also comes with Outwell's Rear Ventilation System which helps to circulate air throughout the tent during warm weather and intense sunshine.
The standout feature of the shelter, however, is the inflatable design. Outwell builds air tubes into the canvas which become rigid when pumped up, providing enough support for the tent to take shape. The air-based design means that this tent only requires one person to set it up - a task that usually takes 10 minutes or less.
Getting in and out of the tent is a breeze. At the front is a large, D-shaped door. And there is also an additional side door for enhanced access. The living area features large mesh windows that allow light to penetrate while providing privacy at the same time. And the top canvas is light in colour, creating a roomy and bright ambience inside.
Outwell tapes all seams and applies fire retardant to the canvas to protect occupants.
Sleeping up to seven in three Premier Bedrooms with Panorama outlook, the 3-zone design of the Sundale 7PA offers generous living space for large families. Quick & Quiet Access between the outer and inner zones and a Rain Safe canopy over the side door makes for easy, flexible access. The Rear Ventilation System allows options from open fully to neatly sealed by a zip.
| Hanging Storage | Yes | A flexible hanging system which allows you to easily attach lighting or storage in your tent living area. Items of up to 1.5Kg can be conveniently hung along this beading rail, usually by a hook system. |
| Hydrostatic Head (mm) | 4000 | The hydrostatic head of a fabric indicates how well it can keep water out and how waterproof it is. The higher the number, the better! A tent needs to have at least 1000mm HH for light showers, heavy rain and driving wind will put more pressure on the fabric and would therefore require a higher HH of 2000mm. Anything higher than this figure means it can keep out water being pushed through by someone leaning against it for example. |
| Material | Polyester | Most tents are made from different denier polyester, which is a lightweight, very waterproof material. Polycotton is a heavier fabric, that breathes well allowing campers to stay cooler in sunnier climates. It is also very good at reducting condensation inside the tent. |
| Number of Bedrooms | 3 | This is the number of sectioned off bedrooms that are included in this tent. The standard industry allowance is 60cm per person, though larger or premium tents often provide more space. |
| Persons | 7 | Tent berth indicates how many people your tent can accommodate for sleeping. The industry standard allocates about 60cm of width per occupant, though exact dimensions can vary by manufacturer. If you prefer extra elbow room, you may want a tent berth larger than your headcount. Many campers size up by one or two berths to improve comfort on longer trips. |
| Pole construction | Inflatable Air Tubes | This is whether the poles are inflatable (air) or rigid (e.g - fibreglass / steel or aluminium). |
| Porch Area | Yes | A porch area gives campers a lot of extra room, that can be used as a wet zone (drying off before entering the main living space), storage of all your outside gear overnight, or as a place to cook and dine or a great area for your family dog to sleep. It adds a lot of versatility to your camping lifestyle. |
| Weight (kg) | 34.40 | This is the weight of the tent in kg. |
| Wing Area | No | An additional wing area can be very useful as it can be used as an extra bedroom area, storage of toys and camping equipment or as a place to put a comfy inflatable sofa, so you can sit back and read your favourite book. Alternatively, it is an ideal spot for the family dog to sleep. |
