2 FAQs on the MPK Rooflight dome with handles 400mm x 400mm

We seem to have lost one of the roof light domes and we also need a flynet and blind. The inside aperture measurements are 400x400. Should I buy 134262 and 131099 (dome and flynet) or just purchase - 120397 which is cheaper but looks to do the job albeit with a slightly larger dome. What are the differences?

The replacement dome is our part 116740 and the blind and flynet is part 131099. Rooflight 120397 does not include the internal blind and flynet and part 131099 cannot be fitted to it.

We have a Lunar Quasar and both hinges have broken on the MPK rooflight. Your product ref 120423 cassette blind and flynet looks to be the one we need but the description says it is for product ref 134262 and not 120397. Ref 134262 doesn't look anything like our rooflight - how can I be sure to order the correct item. There are some numbers on the dome of the rooflight: PP2062, SAN D2345, PC D2350 and PP opak D2351. I can't find reference to these numbers anywhere. hope you can help.

The dome with the handles is our part 116740

Couldn't be happier with the item or speed of delivery. Moreover this is a firm which is not reluctant to despatch goods to this part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and NORTHERN IRELAND. I have had several dealings with Leisureshopdirect, and never disappointed

Acquiring And Fitting A Replacement Rooflight

by John Gorman (13 Apr 2025)

The top part of my rooflight was blown off by a large gust of wind. I think the plastic was "tired", the vehicle is 30 years old. While trying to find a supplier, someone on my forum suggested trying Leisure Services for a replacement part rather than renewing the whole unit. Happily they had some in stock, so I ordered one, and the rooflight arrived within two days. It was well packaged and was the correct size. It came with two colours of handles to match any existing ones. It took no more than ten minutes to remove the remaining part of the old one and fit the new one (four screws). I was really pleased with the availability, cost and ease of fitting, although I feel the instructions could have been better to help people with less experience.

MPK Rooflight Dome

I needed a replacement as one of the sprung arms had broken (I only became aware of this after a service). The product was exactly as described and was identical to that being replced. Locking devices were also supplied although they were not shown on the website photo. No instruction was given regarding the installation of the locking device but was easily figured out from the broken item. The existing fixing screws required a small allen key to remove and replace. Job completed easily within 20 minutes.

Friend has an Avondale caravan, think they ceased trading in 2009. Top cover of roof light blown off probably due to age. Leisureshopdirect gave me the part number for replacement which was ordered and delivered in 2 days. Fitting was very easy, all done from inside the caravan and completed in less than 1/2 hour.
Only had to remove inside frame to check size and 4 screws securing the handles onto the frame

Excellent Replacement

by Mr Hynes (12 Jul 2022)

This replaced our existing dome. It was compatible with the screws etc. The locking mechanism needed a little mod to get it to line up perfectly. I think this is due to our vent housing being very old! Definatly recommend this item and selller

MPK Rooflight Dome With Handles

by Mrs Linda Mitchell (25 May 2021)

(5/5)

This MPK Rooflight Dome with handles was needed after a tree broke our old one. It arrived well packaged in quick time, was a bit puzzled as to how we were to assemble the sprung handles, but after a bit of head scratching we did. Was very easy to replace by undoing the screws that held the handles and offering the new one from the outside. Took all of 2 minutes to fit.
