Remis Rooflight Winder Failure.

Along with the Remis hexagon winding handle, I used the long shaft from the Gearwheel kit for Remis Vario II, 700 x 500 (248471) also welding a cut off hexagon from one of the smaller shafts to lengthen the longest shaft from the kit by approx 20mm. Works a treat. No more spinning winder, and can now open and close the roof light with ease! Why Remis still use the Nylon hexagon drives in these Roof lights is beyond me. I have had a couple of Roof lights that wouldn't wind up or down properly over the years due to the Nylon hexagon drive type, so decided to investigate and repair. You might be able to purchase a longer shaft to save on welding?? and price of the Gearwheel kit. I waited a few weeks for delivery of the winder from Germany, but "all's well that ends well that's what I say.

Great speedy delivery. Thanks. Original winder snapped off as trying to open roof light at 6 yrs old. Didn't need to replace whole assembly as pushed out metal pin at bottom of old handle and can use new handle to replace and reinsert pin.
