The product is exactly as described and is easy to fit. However great care must be taken not to over tighten the filter when it is replaced because it cracks the filter housing which should be stronger around the threaded portion. This is the second time that I have purchased from Leisureshop Direct and once again their service is second to none.

The water filter housing unit on our caravan had cracked resulting in the water pouring out of the filter onto the ground rather than through the pipes in the caravan. We only started caravaning 4 months ago so this was completely new to both of us. I did a bit of internet research and found I needed this housing unit. Leisure Shop Direct had one, resonable postage and arrived really fast. Really easy to replace. Just ran a blade round the sealant (after undoing 4 screws) and out the old one came. I took a photo of the back before I started to undo anything. 2 electrical wires and 1 water pipe discounted, cleaned the area and then connect the new one and all I had to do was apply new sealant and 4 new screws which all went in perfectly. Result! Not bad for a first go by a female.

Another over tightning due to previous owner & cracked housing. A spot on replacement part & a good service even though it was not in stock straight away kept me informed & there was only a 2 day delay for them to get it in. An easy job if you follow the instructions.

The Crystal Filterpac Housing on my caravan was damaged by the previous owner. There was a crack on the thread where the filter screws into the housing allowing dirt and bacteria to form. Possibly allowing the water to become contaminated.
The instructions were very easy to follow, but don't forget to buy some 19mm mastic strip .

I purchased this Filterpac Crystal filter housing to replace the one on my caravan that was damaged due to over-tightening of the filter, this cracked the thread making the item useless.
On opening the package (which arrived by 9am the next day!) I found it to be well packed and as a bonus it also included a filter (not mentioned in the description but shown in the photograph).
The installation instructions were easy to follow and well presented.
You will require some sealing 'mastic' for fitting but the required screws were included in the package.
If you are fitting this please read the instructions carefully as it would be easy to trap the non-return valve (an 'o' ring) while attaching the internal hose thus stopping the water system pressurising and keeping your pump running [ I did not have this problem but I could see that this was a posibility].
The only negative was trying to remove the old housing from the caravan, but when the four fixing screws are undone it just required a very firm pressure on the inside to slowly release the mastic that was holding the old one in.
Total replacement fitting time (apart from releasing the mastic) about 15 min.
