Worked well, even on my 20 year old caravan toilet.
A bit of a tight fit, and needed some pressure to 'click it together'.
Once fitted worked a treat.

The toilet in my caravan is 11 years old so it wasn't surprising when one of the parts failed. One of the plastic lugs that hold the retainer on the main body of the pump had snapped off so a vacuum couldn't be created to suck the toilet rinse in to the pump. The retainer was easy to clip on to the bottom of the pump. The great thing about Thetford is you don't have to buy the whole unit as I first thought (which was very reasonably priced anyway by Leisureshop). You only need to buy the part that has failed. Also, if you go to the Thetford website there is a series of videos showing how to fit all the various parts.

After being told by a caravan dealer that I would have to replace the whole Thetford toilet flush pump, I was delighted to find that the defective retaining clip was available, allowing the repair to be carried out easily for a quarter of the price.

I was very surprised as to how easy it was to damage the retainer. On inspection I found that two of the three retainers securing clips had broken off. I temporarily made a repair by drilling two holes on the retainers lip and using three cable ties secured it to the pump body.Bingo 10 minute repair, I think that my repair will stand up to normal use better than the replacement. I will now always keep a spare retainer in my box for the future,just in case.

When I found the toilet pump was broken I took it apart and found the problem. Thinking I would have to repace the whole pump assembly I did a search for toilet spares and ther to my amazement I found the individual part that had failed, pump retainer. ordered, delivered, fitted all in a few days.

Perfect replacement for broken unit,fitting instructions included,the only thing I would add is to apply a little light grease or vaseline to the O ring on the main pump body,this allows the retainer to seat easier.

The part was easy to fit and thankfully the flush now works like new. Its a pity the original design is flawed so that the plastic lugs break easily.

I agree with previous review comments about the Thetford pump retainer for my C200 CW toilet........it is a poorly designed item that will break again soon. It is not particularly cheap for a bit of plastic but that is not the fault of Leisureshop Direct who made ordering easy, delivered quickly and have a good advice service. The new part came with full instructions. A very satisfactory and efficient company.

I stripped down the pump (first time) to find lug was broken on pump retainer.
Repaired it wih a "plastic weld" but I didn,t think it would last long.
Ordered new part and duly arrived. Will try and fit it this weekend and hope the "weld" didnt damage rest of pump.
Again service etc very eficient.

Arrived promptly, fitted with no problems. Since we bought the caravan second hand we could not believe how bad the manual pump toilet was and weren't sure whether it was faulty or not. When I finally took it apart the clips that secure the retainer were broken hence very little pressure when pumped (a common fault it seems). All working fine now with the new part, so very pleased. Bought a spare part as backup, just in case.

Arrived promptly, fitted with no problems, clips that secure to pump can easily break, but there is no alternative.

One Securing lug on the pump retainer had broken off. They are very flimsy though I did notice that they were not degraded by constant immersion in flush fluid on the old one. However a good replacement service and easy to fit. Luckily I had bought a spare as the non return valve on one of them had been fitted in the wrong way round. Easy to change but I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.

Agree with other comments - the lugs are VERY flimsy. I found that pump wasn't working 100% and the reason was one of the three lugs had snapped off. The replacement was very good value and easy to fit. I bought two and will leave one in the van just in case. Well done to this dealer for stocking such a good range of spares at good prices.

Easy to fit once inside waste tank.
However lugs appear to be flimsy.
