  Product Description
The Fiamma Coverglas for Ford Transit Custom is an external windscreen and door cover built for vans registered from 2012 onwards. It's designed to fit the Transit Custom and Tourneo Custom, creating a snug fit over the windscreen and side windows. The double-layered material provides thermal protection in both summer and winter, keeping heat out when temperatures soar and retaining warmth during cold months. This helps reduce interior temperature extremes and protects dashboard materials from sun damage and UV-related fading.

How does the Fiamma Coverglas attach to Ford Transit Custom vans?

The Coverglas uses integrated magnets to hold the cover firmly against the vehicle's bodywork. You fit it from inside the cab, which means the cover stays secure and protected from theft. It follows the contour of your Transit Custom for accurate coverage across the windscreen and both front door windows. The complete system packs away into its included storage bag, measuring 33x48x12cm when folded.

Installation takes minutes with no straps or external fasteners needed. The magnetic system does all the work while you position the cover from the driver's seat. The new light grey colour reflects sunlight better than previous versions, giving improved heat rejection during summer use. You get full privacy when parked up, making it practical for overnight stops or extended breaks. The resistant material handles regular use and stores neatly in the supplied bag between trips.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Fiamma Coverglas fit all Ford Transit Custom models from 2012?
Yes, this Coverglas is designed specifically for Ford Transit Custom and Tourneo Custom vehicles registered from 2012 onwards. The cover follows the exact contour of these models' cab area, including the windscreen and both front door windows. It's tailored for the first generation Transit Custom body shape, so you get accurate coverage across all registration years from 2012 forward.
How does the magnetic fitting system work on the Coverglas?
The Coverglas has magnets integrated into the cover material that attach to the metal bodywork of your Transit Custom. You position and secure the cover from inside the cab by closing the doors, which holds it firmly in place against the vehicle's exterior surfaces. This internal fitting method means the cover stays protected from theft and eliminates the need for external straps or fasteners that other windscreen covers require.
What area does the Fiamma Coverglas cover on a Transit Custom?
The Coverglas covers the entire windscreen and both front door windows on your Transit Custom. It's an external cab cover system that wraps around the front of the vehicle, following the shape of the glass and door frames. The cover extends to provide complete coverage of the cab area for maximum thermal protection and privacy when fitted.
Does the Coverglas work in winter as well as summer?
Yes, the double-layered construction provides thermal insulation for both seasons. In summer, it reflects heat and blocks UV rays to keep the cab cooler. In winter, the insulating layers help retain warmth inside the vehicle and reduce heat loss through the glass. The cab area is typically the biggest source of heat loss in motorhomes and campervans, so using a thermal cover like the Coverglas makes a noticeable difference to interior comfort.
What size is the storage bag that comes with the Coverglas?
The Coverglas comes with a storage bag measuring 33x48x12cm when the cover is folded and packed away. This compact size makes it easy to store in your vehicle between uses without taking up excessive space in your van or motorhome storage areas.
