The Fiamma Carry-Bike VW T3 is a tailgate-mounted bike carrier made exclusively for Volkswagen T3 (also known as T25) campervans with single rear doors from 1979 to 1992. How does the Fiamma Carry-Bike attach to a VW T3 without drilling?


The carrier uses specially designed brackets that hook over and under the rear tailgate of the T3, creating a secure mount without any permanent fixings. The system weighs 6.5kg and supports up to 50kg across three bikes (15cm rail spacing). Installation takes minutes and leaves your campervan's original paintwork completely untouched.

This carrier holds two bikes as standard with the option to upgrade to three bikes total. It will not fit T3 models with split rear doors or high-roof variants. The carrier attaches to the opening section of the tailgate using custom-fit brackets that match the door profile of these model years.
Does installation require drilling holes in the campervan?
No drilling is required for installation. The carrier uses specially designed brackets that hook over the top edge and under the bottom edge of the tailgate to create a secure mount. Will this carrier hold electric bikes?
This carrier is not suitable for electric bikes. E-bikes typically weigh 20-30kg each, which would exceed the 50kg maximum load capacity when carrying multiple bikes. The tailgate mounting system and support structure are designed for standard pedal bikes. For e-bike transport on a VW T3, you'll need a tow bar mounted carrier with higher weight capacity.
How do I upgrade from 2 bikes to 3 bikes capacity?
The carrier comes as standard with parts to carry two bikes. To upgrade to three-bike capacity, you'll need to purchase an additional Rail Quick Pro support and another Bike Block arm separately.
