  Product Description
The Clayton Power 5m Cable Set for Alternator provides everything needed to wire your LPS II power supply for charging from your vehicle's alternator whilst driving. This complete kit includes 16mm² power cables with pre-fitted ring terminals (4.1m lengths with 8mm terminals, plus shorter 0.9m runs with mixed 8mm and 6mm terminals), a 60A mega fuse with holder, and a 5-metre blue D+ ignition signal wire with fuse holder already fitted. The cables connect to the DC IN and C1 terminals at the back of your LPS II unit, with the 16mm² sizing meeting Clayton Power's specification for maximum 5-metre cable runs at the LPS II's built-in booster charge rate of 45A (500W). The kit arrives ready to install with all terminals crimped and fuses rated correctly for standard alternator charging without the Super Charge DC-DC converter.

One point worth noting is this standard kit uses a single 60A mega fuse, which suits the LPS II's built-in booster but won't handle the higher currents if you later add the 600W Super Charge DC-DC converter - that upgrade requires the AL2102 cable set with its 125A fusing and additional heavy-duty cables. The 5-metre D+ wire gives you plenty of length to route from your dashboard ignition circuit to wherever you've mounted the LPS II, and the included 10A fuse protects this signal wire. You're getting 4.1 metres of both positive and negative 16mm² cable, so there's enough to run from your vehicle's starter battery location to most typical LPS II mounting spots in vans and motorhomes. Just remember you'll still need cable clips for proper routing and possibly some additional earth bonding depending on your chassis setup.
