What are the main differences of Texturised cotton over Polyester?


Texturised cotton is thermally more efficient - warmer when it is colder outside and cooler when it is hot and sunny outside. This is because the material breathes. It also creates less condensation because of its breathable nature. It also lasts longer, for average use you are looking at 15+ years as long as it is looked after. However, you cannot put Texturised cotton away wet as it will quickly form mildew which will destroy the material. If you have to put it away wet then put it up again within 48 hours and leave up until fully dry. Texturised cotton are better suited to people where they are being selective with the weather or used abroad so if it rains, the sunshine will dry it out very quickly.
