bought this unit to replace a damaged roof light. It is a good solid unit. It fitted with no problems. very pleased, looks good both inside and out. best of all have had no bits of pollen, leaves, twigs or insects get in onto the flyscreen .

Flammia 40 X40 Motorhome Skylight

The iflammia skylight itself is fine but would have been better if screws and sealant had been included. The instructions regarding screw size were wrong.

There is insuffient instruction on which sealant to use under flange surface which rests on the roof i.e. by a membrane 35mm x 1mm thick resting on the channel grooves rather like a sealant gasket or simply filling one or more of the channels with a sealant gun all the way round. I did not like drilling all those holes for the 20 screws, I would have preferred no screw holes in the external frame with more screws in the insect mesh frame to pull the external frame down tightly onto the sealant. This would mean assembly could be done from inside the vehicle and much quicker and easier, no screw heads to seal and only a perimeter seal with silicone. Drilling all those holes was a pain but other design features were good as was price. The hinged nature of the lid and aerodynamic shape of unit was good as the hatch was a Fiamma 160 400x400mm
