1 Technical Question on the MPK Rooflight 420 with Flynet & Blind - Beige (Complete)

Question

Hi tom. Could you advise the make/model and your ref for a roof light please, the one we have now has 2 handles and I think its probably 40cm square.

Answer

This should be an MPK rooflight. If it has an internal blind it will be the 420 our ref. 234262. Without blind it is the 400 our ref. 220397

Delivery in a couple of days, product was perfect. No installation instructions but found a great video on YouTube that explained everything (especially how to get the old one off). Very happy.

Good Value

A good value piece of plastic engineering. A little flimsy in some areas but well worth the effort of replacing the whole frame and unit. Would buy again - although I hope I don't need to....

Fantastic. Ordered 2 one was out of stock but came within timescale. These are easy to fit and look amazing. Used the original screws from the old ones. They are much better than the ones we had before. Great value for money and great quality. First class service as always from you guys. Thank you very much.

MPK 420 Rooflight

by Les Allen (15 Jan 2016)

Looks Fine, better than the one I intend to replace. It should fit ok but will not be fitted until it gets a bit warmer. I bought one off you last year for the Washroom and it fitted perfectly. Also quick delivery and well packaged. Regards, Les

Rooflight

by Mr L (03 Aug 2013)
5 star review(5/5)
Please click here to review the product MPK Rooflight 420 with Flynet & Blind. The handle on the original unit broke after 14 years of use and rather than replace parts (the old blind and fly screen were showing signs of wear), I purchase the whole new unit. Remarkably easy to install and all done from the inside of the van. The most difficult bit was separating the old unit from the metal roof but a thin plastic spatula run all round between the two worked a treat. Every bit as good if not better than the original equipment. Excellent.

Mpk Rooflight 420 Replacement For 400x400 Flynet And Blind

by smee (08 Mar 2013)
5 star review(5/5)
was out of stock, i knew when ordering, but still arrived well within time limit. package was damaged quite a lot, and yet somehow the product was intact. i fitted product myself and took the chance that the actual body was the same as the old, as i had re sealed it to the vehicle just last year, as auto-sleeper had fitted both rooflights badly and the other one was leaking. the mpk was originally fitted with silicone sealer which i found very strange as you are supposed to use the blue tacky product and sikaflex on the outside. any way, so i fitted this to the old shaell and there was only one minor difference, and that was the handles will not lock properly down until you file a small amount from the contact surface they meet when trying to lock down. other than that, it is a smaller cone on the outside, which is held with screws now, so i take it can be taken apart for cleaning, which was not possible with the old design

MPK Rooflight With Blind

by Mr Davidson (29 May 2012)
5 star review(5/5)
A direct replacement for the original on my 1996 Swift caravan. An improvment on original as it incorporated a lock which original didn't have. Easy to fit using original screws ,took about an hour. The hardest part was removing the old mastic from roof aperture.
