Cold Tap Replacement.

Reich single deluxe tap -matt nickel: this is a well-designed light-weight body cold-water tap. Up/down spout; 90° on/off easy turn; good size handle head to grip; matt nickel colour blends well with beige colour schemes/vans. Beware - for fixing- the threaded plastic body may be wider than existing hole. I had to reamer hole out. Also, threaded body shorter than original and for existing Worksop and so not enough threaded projection to attached plastic fixing nut with its washer attached. In vice, I had to hacksaw off the washer leaving just the nut to catch onto the projecting thread of the body and gently nip it up. As an extra fixing precaution, I bedded the tap worktop surface side on black silicone sealant so as to deter any rotation of tap body during use. Otherwise, a great little tap.

I needed to replace the tap quickly and Leisure Shop Direct camp up trumps with a replacement delivered "by return". Many thanks also to Technical Tom for his useful answer to my question about how to replace the microswitch. Although the tap looks as if it is a sealed unit it is possible to dismantle it and replace the switch alone rather than the whole tap. See “Microswitch for Reich Deluxe Taps”.

Purchased this tap as a replacement for an existing unit. Design has been improved and was easy to fit, plumb and power. Swivel nozzle is well thought out allowing different configurations and low installation height. Service from Leisureshop Direct was excellent. Was kept informed as to progress of order and it arrived here in NZ within 7 days from placing order through the web page. I am impressed.
