how to replace a mixer tap on a kitchen sink without damaging cabinet or is it possible to replace the internal working parts of the reich taps from the knob side
You can access the workings of the tap by removing the knob, securing screw underneath the red/blue indicators. There is normally a large nut that secures the cartridge. This cartridge can be lifted out and is normally the part that cracks if frost damage has occurred. On most Reich taps the cartridge is our part 132145 but their is a smaller cartridge ref. 141770

The Reich Tap Ceramic Cartridge 35mm is a perfect replacement for the original old unit as supplied with the tap which had become leaky over many years of use. After clearing any scale from the tap barrel and installing the new cartridge the tap is now ready for many more years of leak free use.

Despite draining the caravan water system the sever winter found a drop or two in the Bathroom water tap. Dismantling the cartridge revealed a split component. I feared that a new tap would be required but was advised that a new cartridge was available. My order was actioned in record time and the simple replacement was fitted and tested satisfactorily. Thank you for a prompt and efficient service.
