This product is marvellous. It stopped the pump pulsing and gives an even pressure, to the shower and sinks in our Motorhome.

Ideal Replacement Or Retro Fit Pressure Vessel For Motorhome Sand Caravans
<span style='color:gray;'>by Peter T. (24 Jul 2017)</span>

The I tem arrived promptly and is very simple to fit, we had bought it to replace the original that had failed and it is a direct replacement. Although the vessel was supposed to be pre - pressurised, ours wasn't, but it is easy to do with any car foot pump. It will not make the pump run silently, but it does stop surging at the taps.

No only did this cure my spurting taps in the motorhome, but the pump is so quiet now its amazing.<br />For 12mm rigid pipe connection you need to purchase "Push Fit Female Adaptor - 12mm - 1/2" BSP female" these screw on in place of the flexible hose connectors making simple secure installation.

I had been having problems with my motorhome water pump cycling on and off continually and suffering air-locks.<br />Since the easy installation of the expansion tank I have no problems and am able to open the taps to any state of flow, just a trickle or full on without the pump switching on-off,on-off continually.Consequently I have noticed a reduction in water use which is another bonus.
Accumulator. Not Acumalator.

Just the job. Works fine. This is a Fiamma A20 Universal Expansion Tank. It is an accumulator tank. There is no such thing as an acumalator, a term used in the description.
Silence At Last(well Almost)

I am writing this review to brighten up the lives of people suffering from "diaphragm pump syndrome"<br /><br />My problem was a Swift Charisma 220 with Flojet on board pump .Switch on the tap and the pump didn't start immediately and water dribbled out then the pump woke up and ran for a while but turn down the flow and pump goes into spasm none return valve clacks away a real noisy nightmare.<br />So what has this to do with the Fiamma expansion tank ,be patient . First the flojet pump IS adjustable a cross head screw under the base/switch cover I had to turn clockwise 3/4 of a turn which reduced spasms and some reasonable results if the tap was turned down to a trickle . A lot more civilised but pulses from the pump cause pipe work to rattle, still not brilliant.<br />Having carried out the pump adjustment I fitted the expansion tank about 300mm down stream of the pump, pressure side of course now the tank is supplied with flexible barbed pipe connectors but most vans use 12mm semi rigid pipe with push fit connections so what you need is 2 off 1/2" bsp to 12mm push fit connectors. The pipe itself can be cut with a Stanley knife with a nice new blade no special kit needed. Do not use a hacksaw the debris from the cut will probably foul the water heater or none return valve for same which stops warm water migrating back to the cold feed. So that's it and yes no more pulsing and pump cycles in a civilised manner .Job done!
Well Priced And Effective

I purchased this Fiamma Expansion tank to resolve a stop/start oscillation with my Shurflo pump in my motorhome. This effect started when I replaced the original (failed) Italian pump with the Shurflo.
This item is about half the price of the similar Shurflo accumulator/ expansion tank - and I am very pleased with the performance since fitting it - would recommend to others. It has completely stopped the stop/start cycling and allows you to draw water as slowly as you want.
A couple of observations - the unit comes with hose type connectors only suitable for flexible (hose) pipe. If you have 12mm semi flexible pipe as I have, you should also order two "Push Fit Female Adaptor - 12mm - 1/2" BSP female" parts to link it up. I put a stop end in one side of the unit, and connected the other side to my cold pump output with a 12mm pushfit T piece. All parts are available from Leisureshop Direct

The Fiamma expansion tank does what it says on the tin - it has worked perfectly to solve the anoyance of a noisy pump.
