It should be mounted 200cm above the highest convector or radiator in the system, When using the 12 V circulation pump you must ensure 22 cm clearance above the expansion tank for refilling and servicing.

Alde themselves recommended this expansion tank after I discovered there was a leak at the seam of the original tank and Leisure shop direct would be ideal to supply it. From the start the advisor online was Courteous, respectful to my questions, and, although I am always sceptical when it comes to online ordering the items arrived well packaged and within 3 days via Royal snail mail services were fitted with ease and the system is working as per specification. I have, and will continue to recommend this company to numerous caravanning friends, and I will also order from them without hesitation again. Thank you all concerned.

A Must Have Replacement

If you have recently purchased a preowned leisure vehicle and notice an odd odour but cannot locate the source then look to the ALDE heating fluid. Mine stank horribly. Fluid was changed but the smell still lingered. Advice sought from ALDE who pointed me in the direction of the head tank. Sure enough it was that. New one bought from Leisurelines and changed in my caravan Smell gone. Happy caravanners now..The service from Leisurelines was exemplary. Well recommended.

Ideal Replacement For Leaking Existing Expansion Tank

Had ongoing problem with seepage around top of pump side connection rubber hose. Only happened when pump switched off. Eventually found pinhole leak at underside tank seem pump side. Ordered this item which was out of stock but arrived within week. Easily fitted onto original metal backplate so didn’t need to use supplied securing ferrules. Overflow tubing fitted through original hole in floor to drain to outside; needed cutting to length as there was more than enough. Topped up coolant (used red Halfords 5 yr type that I had renewed a few weeks earlier) and ran system for a few hours. Switched off and no leak. All sorted.

Genuine replacement part, took longer to arrive than expected and delivery charge on the high side, but arrived well packaged and in good condition.

Great service as usual. Tank was easy to fit. tips:-1 use "old" expansion pipe to pull new pipe through to the outlet point 2. use siphon to get fluid level below that of the pipes otherwise spillage 3. The pipe clips are really strong, water pump pliers seem to be best at opening them.

damn quick service, product as described,in hindsight i should have got the larger tank, I worked out the litres it held and thought yep! never thinkning about actual expansion and the need to allow for it! does not detract from the fact that these guys are well above average in customer care though, use them people
