The Alde 3010 control panel replacement is much easier to operate than the older version . Your price was much cheaper than your rivals,after making a small cutout into bottom of existing hole it is simply screw new panel and backing plate over the hole and plug and play. Thank you for swift delivery and a great replacement heating control panel.

I bought the new control panel because ours suddenly went blank but it still ran the heating system on electric but I couldn't change the settings at all so we had a cold night when we were unable to switch to gas! The panel was really easy to fit just had to modify the hole with a small hacksaw blade and drill a couple of new holes to screw it back in then it was just a case of reconnecting the cables. It's easier to use than the old one too

I bought this panel because my previous Alde control panel (same type) that came with the van had, after 7 years use, developed a big black spot on the display so needed replacing. It was really easy to swap the panels, the hardest bit was disconnecting the 12v power supply to to unit before taking the old one out (I pulled the fuse). The new panel slotted into place perfectly. All very straight forward and now I have a panel where I can clearly see all the information I need to run the heating and hot water.

I replaced the frustrating, sequential, coded days, small, hard to read and use black and white LCD Alde Digital control panel ( with a non working battery back-up capability) on my Coachman Laser caravan, with the Alde colour touch screen upgrade panel. It is light years ahead in it's simplicity of use and easy to read screen. It is intuitive where the digital panel required the manual each time it was used. Far superior but still lacks the ability to provide back up without additional expense. I would give it 5 stars if it included a re-chargeable in-built back up capability. A good product, worth having but spoilt for " an hapeth of tar". Shame. I bought a battery holder with molex connector wired in from ebay for £7 as opposed to the Alde version for £27 which didn't need "registering" as a lady From Alde support claimed, who also said this was a problem they have had before. It didn't work because the digital panel was faulty so don't buy an Alde version if you have this problem, put you money towards a Touch panel upgrade. Look on Utube for a fitting video.

Having "fiddled" with the heater control panel trying to remember what/how to do, I decided to bite the bullet & upgrade. To be honest I still cannot justify the expense, but having a lousy memory hey-ho. 3/4 hr to fit ease of operation go for it highly recommended.

Stop thinking about this and upgrade. This unit is SO intuitive and easy in operation I wish I’d changed sooner. You’ll have to recut the hole but the rest of the fit is a doddle. Price matched by leisure shop (thank you) but this made order process complicated. Could you just send a discount code to give equivalent price?

Excellent easy to fit far easier to use than the older model . For anyone interested I used it on a Bailey Unicorn Valencia 2 . This van had a combined main control panel and old style heating control after removing the original combined cover and replacing with a control panel cover from an Aproach motor home and the Aldi upgrade panel

It’s easy to fit and looks good but most importantly it’s easy to use for everyone

This was to replace a failed b/w Alde control panel which displayed a blank screen. The upgrade does require some woodwork as this unit is about 15mm bigger top to bottom. Plugged new one in and it worked beautifully! Like the colour display!

Worthwhile Upgrade

This product is the 3010-615 version designed as an upgrade to the earlier rectangular version. This is important, as it comes with an adaptor plate to cover some of the original hole in the panel to which it is mounted, so don't order the wrong version. As this one is square, it is necessary to modify the above hole, and this needs to be done accurately, to accommodate the mounting screws correctly. You may need to change the 4 fixing screws for smaller heads, so that the outer silver trim ring fits properly. The original wiring plugs fit exactly the same so no issues there, except that some of the names for each, as listed in a diagram on the inside cover, have been changed slightly so be sure to identify these. The only significant point is that if your original panel has a back up battery cable fitted, this will be 12 v, and cannot be used on the new panel, as the back up connection is now rated at 3 volts.
The box contains an excellent sheet of colour photos showing how to do the job, and a comprehensive manual.
In use the panel is much clearer and intuitive to use compared to the old one, and is a worthwhile upgrade for this alone

I initially wandered whether this was worth doing but having now had it fitted for a few weeks it is a big improvement on the old control panel. Would definitely recommend. It also came really quickly from leisureshopdirect.com, will use again!
