Not yet tried but bought it as a replacement to a pump that failed on our last holiday. One thing to bear in mind - check the plug that connects to the caravan as although the pump is the same, the connections differ.

Prompt delivery of this item as expected. It fits perfectly and is very quiet in operation. I did expect a higher flow than the previous pump but there is not a great deal of difference although the pump is much smoother. All in all a great product from a british company.

The real deal. I had a cheaper one supplied by my local caravan shop when then Truma original died, but it was a feeble trickle compared to this Whale replacement. Worth the money (although doubtless it is well overpriced for what it is .. but then that's caravans!)

We recently bought a second hand caravan with a working but rather grubby Truma water pump. We replaced it with a Whale Crystal Plug-Hose Pump Hi-Flow EP1622. In comparison the whale pump produces a much better flow. The only thing I would like to see improved is the arrangement at the pump end of the electrical lead. In both the Carver and the Whale the shroud pipe is not sealed at the pump end, making it impossible to clean properly. Had it been sealed I would have given it 5 stars. I will probably clean the old Truma after first discarding the pipe shrouding the cable. It will then be kept as spare despite its crummy flow.
